The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
I always choose a window seat. Thankfully, there has always been a window, though I haven't paid extra for it. But I would be pissed if I didn't get a window. I choose it for various reasons. I'm not really claustrophobic and don't really have a fear of flying, but I know I've always felt more...
Not as vibrant as some others since I was a day late and we had some clouds but still fairly happy with how they came out. These are 2 of my better/favorite ones. Had to attach them instead of just inserting them as apparently they are too large? I had to keep reducing quality to get it so they...
I GUARANTEE you there already pastors and others in this state who say this. Probably mostly the Panhandle but good chance there are some in the Rexburg area (BYU) and some of the sparsely populated valleys in the mountains.
Well, I missed out on the big Tuesday night show but I did manage to get out last night. I will share photos later (I was a little tired when I got home last night). Lights were not as spectacular as folks saw on Tuesday. Couldn't see them with the naked eye but I was able to pick some up with...
Super annoyed this morning. I looked at the forecast here and they were calling for overcast and/or cloudy skies at prime viewing time. So I spent the evening in my basement doing some work. Went to bed and never even bothered to look outside. Wake up this morning to posts from people in my area...
Dark Winds season 3 was released on Netflix on 10/27. Started last night. Halfway in and, for me at least, just as good as I felt S1 and S2 were. All 3 seasons currently hold a 100% on RT. Season 4 is currently filming I believe and set to premier in early 2026. Likely make its way to Netflix...
I don't think so. I don't recall seeing one back when I first started here in like 2003 or 2004 but I could be wrong. I remember starting this one specifically because it was the 35th anniversary.
The Lost Fitzgerald Search Tapes still is such a haunting thing to hear. Captain Cooper knew that going back out would be VERY difficult at best, but he did it anyway to search for survivors.
Looks like good potential for Aurora viewing tonight and tomorrow for the northern parts of the US. That's one of the next things I'd love to get photos of but unfortunately we are looking at cloudy skies where I am.
I'm fine with Goldeneyes since it is a bird and I am a bird nut. They are the 1st team named for an animal and it sounds like at least some of the players like the name and are excited for it.
I always hear stories of contractors and stuff demolishing things they built if they don't get paid. Maybe these guys should flip the script and rebuild the East Wing as it was if they don't get paid.
"His main priority is the ballroom"...and printing out signs to hang around the building so he remembers what room he is going into. You know, the truly important stuff.
Looks like death toll up to 9 with more expected still. Confirmed that the pics of an engine on the ground back by the runway are from the plane.
While this is quite bad, it could have been SO MUCH worse. Had the plane been departing northward from either runway, it would have crashed into a...
7 reported dead so far and expected to rise but could take time to get an accurate number. Seeing a few posts with pictures that claim to be the left engine, heavily damaged and burned, laying next to the runway. Haven't seen anything that would confirm this from a more official source.
Seeing more angles of things. Plane was using 17R, clipped a UPS warehouse on the south end as it went down and then went into an area full of recycling centers and salvage yards. One of those businesses that looks to have been hit was a place that specialize in petroleum product recycling...
He flies one of the 747s. He does go through Anchorage quite a bit. Or did. I think he is in the process of retiring so it seems like he has been flying a little less but I remember when he would post about making laps of the Pacific (Lots of trips into Hong Kong but also Dubai and sometimes...
I have a cousin who flies for UPS out of Louisville. He thankfully was not in the area and was at home on the other side of the Ohio River at the time.
Looks like it may have crashed into some buildings to the south of the airport. Wouldn't be surprised if there are more casualties beyond the...
My camera was just under $1000 back in 2020 so that price on a telescope is really not bad. My digital camera looks fancy but it is a pretty simple point and click type thing. Sure, you can make some adjustments and still get some good shots, but you are limited on what you can manipulate and...
