The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Supposedly, Sundays' exhibition game is on ESPN+ according to the BU website. If so, enjoy or maybe not so!!! This outfit looks like a bunch of future NHL guys.
I really don't know, but, possibly because it costs a chunk money to modernize. If it does, why do it for a facility that is no longer a local entertainment mecca. These days ticketed events of any substance consists of up to a dozen and a half men's hockey games (with an average attendance of...
Glorioski!!! Broadcast information now listed on the schedule page for the first two away football games. Saturday's webcast will cost you $30. At that price it will be dust off and fire up the old woodcased with real speakers Thomas radio for me (It still sounds better than any of the modern...
A little digging on the WRPI website revealed that not only all football games are scheduled to be aired but also ALL men's hockey games home and away are scheduled to be aired through the end of 2025. Nothing is currently listed for any 2026 men's hockey games on radio.
Why this is not already...
It is not funding. The list of present athletics and facilities hierarchy is at least as long, if not longer, than the list of past athletic people who are no longer here.
Two of those past people alone kept the website at a crown jewel level of D3 websites as opposed to what it has now...
Only coverage information available anywhere is on the WPI site. The have no radio. Only a webcast behind a paywall that only offers a monthly rate (about $30) or an annual rate (about $90). No daily rate.
A quick check of the Wiki page of the company the NEWMAC Conference chose to do business...
Stopped in earlier this month to renew football season tickets. The ice was down then with younger kids skating on it. Looked like some kind of summer hockey camp. However, status of the infamous tarp was not able to be determined.
Hopefully, if a tarp is in fact still in use, they will lay...
Remember reading somewhere that Merrimack did opt in. Also am pretty sure they appeared on a list I saw recently online of New England colleges whose finances aren't all that hot.
Hope this guy did really well with whatever his NIL haul was, if he got much at all. If all he got was chump...
Well, we know the original system installed in 1949 lasted through the 1982-1983 season literally by its' fingertips. By that season delays for ice repair literally became expected and sometimes even involved spraying the ice with stuff fire extinguishers have in them. Whatever that stuff is it...
Overall excellent analysis. However, I question if there would be enough yes votes from the six Ivys, Clarkson, SLU, Union, Colgate and RPI to ever admit Holy Cross or any Catholic institution for that matter. My best guess would instead be RIT who may be paired up as travel partners with...
Will take a wild guess that at least 6 ECAC Hockey members will not be very happy with the Q's choice and may want to break away from them or have them kicked out. Not even a wild guess on what the take of the other five ECAC members might be.
May be a replay of over four decades ago when the...
A shame. Little more the two years ago the athletic department website was among the gold standards of websites maintained by D3 sized staffs. Unfortunately, the people directly responsible for maintaining those standards, along with other key athletic and athletic facilities staff, have all...
He did not play in the one game I saw in person in Saratoga last season. However, saw quite a few via webcast. This guy had an undisclosed bum leg last year!!! As one of the T Birds said to Danny (Travolta), "Zucco, You've got to be kidding me".
There have been four seasons played here in Troy...
Don't get fixated on just the Alfond family (Dexter Shoe Empire) checkbook. There is also one more chap in the equation that has some "realm of the coin" to spare along with a willingness to part with some of it. That chap is one Stephen King.
Do you really think "pay cuts" from college to pro started with NIL.
In a more current day catching up with interview with NFL hall of famer Hugh McElhaney and his wife not all that long before his passing, they freely admitted to the pay cut they took from his senior year at the University of...
Great if it actually does happen. If not could always resort to some sort of goofy gimacry to try and drum up some kind of general public interest in this program again. At least above and beyond what was probably an all time (over seven decades) worst per game average attendance of 2,181. It's...
Hockeydb.com lists Paul Rakowski at 5'5". Could be the shortest RPI D man ever. Nominations for other goofy D man categories:
D man with the shortest combined first and last names- Bo Dolan???
D man with the most vowels in both their first and last names- Bruno Salvalaggio??? Only a couple of...
