    UMass Lowell @ RPI - 11/15/25

Even though RPI's football game is over in Schenectady, it makes sense that they wouldn't want to start the hockey game before the football game could finish. Unfortunately, the football team is pretty much laying an egg, at least so far in the first half. 21-0, Union.

    UMass Lowell @ RPI - 11/15/25

Hope somebody figures out when this game is going to start. USCHO says 3:00, RPIathletics says 4:00.

    UMass-Lowell at RPI, 11/15/25

Surprising that no one has started the thread prior to this. I'm not entirely sure when this game is going to start - USCHO says 3:00, RPIathletics says 4:00. Hope our guys are ready to play when the time comes. Whoops! Somebody else started the thread before I did. Everybody else ignore...

    UNH at RPI, 11/14/25

RPI seemed to be having the upper hand in the early part of the third period. After the two long, long, long replay reviews, it all went downhill.

RPI 2025–26: Off the Critical List and In Recovery

As I recall, one of those 9-0 losses may actually have been a 10-0 loss, though RPI's records say 9-0. I can remember listening to WGY's broadcast of the game (WGY used to broadcast RPI hockey in those days). With the score 9-0 in the dying seconds, the Boston team (don't remember whether it...

RPI 2025–26: Off the Critical List and In Recovery

The meeting between RPI and SLU sounds like the resistible force meeting the movable object. RPI is 0-5-0 at home. SLU is 0-5-0 on the road. One of those records has to improve. Hope it's the Engineers'.

    RPI @ Union - Friday 10/31

RPI with an empty-netter. And another.

    RPI @ Union - Friday 10/31

Union's pulled the goalie with 2:10 to play.

Better than another 0-5 or 1-5, anyway.

Hi, Ralph! Oh, what do you know? We Scored! How much time is left in the game?

RPI 2025–26: Off the Critical List and In Recovery

Since Ralph said he was able to listen to WRPI, I just checked the website. I saw the same frowny face and discouraging message that I saw last night. But I tried clicking on the button at the top of the page that says "Programs," then on a link to "How to listen," and got a message saying if...

RPI 2025–26: Off the Critical List and In Recovery

Was anybody else actually able to listen to tonight's game on WRPI.org? When I tried, I got a frowny face and a message "This content is blocked. Contact the site owner to fix the issue." No explanation as to how to go about contacting the site owner. :(

RPI 2025–26: Off the Critical List and In Recovery

A $9 pretzel? Did they at least provide free mustard to put on it?

RPI 2025–26: Off the Critical List and In Recovery

I'd prefer sticking with the system you have used in all previous years. IMHO, shootouts are an abomination. Fine with me if you regard them as non-existent.

RPI 2025–26: Off the Critical List and In Recovery

It's hard to envision a team with so many new faces and a brand-new system for everybody to learn to have a great deal of success on the won-lost ledger, at least in the early part of the season. I understand we imported a lot of highly-regarded talent. My hope is that some of that talent will...

RPI 2025–26: Off the Critical List and In Recovery

RPI football off to a winning start, beating WPI this evening, 26-9. The Engineers scored on their opening drive, opened up leads of 16-0 and 26-3, and were never seriously threatened. Kayden White scored three touchdowns, two rushing and one receiving. RPI fans should be pleased with the...

RPI 2025 Off-Season: Help Is On the Way

Ralph and maybe others probably know the answer to this. I wonder how many of the guys on the varsity men's hockey roster will be attending a class at RPI for the first time tomorrow.

RPI 2025 Off-Season: Help Is On the Way

We beat them twice last year. Maybe that was the tip-off. ;)

RPI 2025 Off-Season: Help Is On the Way

My recollection is that they definitely started after Labor Day, and perhaps as much as two or three weeks later. With classes starting as late as they did, the first semester used to stretch well into January,
