The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Brown today announced its incoming freshman class, and, thus, a new season (and thread) beckons: https://brownbears.com/news/2019/5/29/mens-ice-hockey-mens-hockey-announces-incoming-class-of-2023.aspx
I'm particularly excited about Cocca, Holmes, Krys, Albert, and the Finnish kid whose name...
Seems like last year's thread has been sent to the void. Alas! Captains were announced today, so it's a good time to hit refresh and start anew. Marchin, Gottlieb, and Giuttari seem like wise picks, and they're also three of our better players in my very humble opinion...
Well, there's not much else to say about 2015-16, and Euler has provided the names of the incoming freshmen, so I suppose it's time to look forward. I assume the captains will be named soon, and while the schedule hasn't been finalized, FlagDUDE08 has compiled a Google doc that contains the ECAC...
Everyone seems ready for a new thread (perhaps as a means to cleanse our minds from the trauma experienced in 2014-15), but we were in the middle of a discussion, so I'll pick it up where we left off:
Was Russell's concussion severe? If so, I would temper expectations for him this season. Many...
Brown up 2-0 after a period of play on two fluky goals. Hathaway ripped a shot on a 2-on-1 and Finn saved it, but it flipped up and over his head and into the net. A minute or two later, Brown had a 3-on-2 and Finn couldn't control a rebound. Someone poked it into the open net.
Both teams...
I tried posting this on the HE blog recapping the subpar Frozen Fenway experience this year, but it wouldn't let me log in for some reason. Anyway, here's my thoughts on outdoor games moving forward. The blog mentioned the possibility of an NHL game at Gillette that HE could piggyback. I think...
After one, Brown is all over Harvard, 2-0. RPI leads QU 2-0, but that has its own separate thread. Union is also up 2-0 on Princeton. St. Lawrence-Clarkson is tied at 3 going to overtime (did that one start early? Or is the USCHO iPhone app having problems?).
The real shocker of the night is...
Minnesota St. leads Brown 1-0 on a fluky goal that appeared to hit the glass behind the net, bounce back over into the crease, and hit off of goalie Anthony Borelli's glove and into the net. There have been some good chances for both teams, but MSU has probably had the upper hand.
Brown leads St. Lawrence 3-0 after one, after an SLU player laid a vicious hit to the head on Matt Harlow and was, accordingly, ejected. Brown then scored 3 on the ensuing 5-minute major. 2 from Maclellan, 1 from Jacobsen.
Anyone else with score updates from across the league, please post here!
'Cats up 2-0 at the end of 1. Totally outplayed Brown. QU won every race to every puck and just overwhelmed a flat Brown side. If we're going to win Game 1, we're going to have to play A LOT better the next two periods. And that's an understatement.
Brown had a couple good chances, including at...
I'll be trying to follow the Brown-Dartmouth game via a video feed, but it's pretty bad quality, there's no audio, and no scoreboard, so my reports might not be very accurate or detailed.
If anyone has scores from this or any other ECAC games, go for it!
BU from Providence leads its Boston counterpart after a period, 2-1. Brown jumped out to a very quick 2-0 lead with goals from Fratkin and Zolynierczek. BU responded about halfway through the period with a Ben Rosen goal, and have since seized control of the game. Brown has appeared unfazed...
This season has flown by. And that's not really a good thing; I need my college hockey!
This is a crucial weekend for all 4 teams involved, which should make for some absolutely intense games. In addition to the latest installment of what Brian Sullivan is aggressively trying to coin the...
Should be an interesting weekend. Can Clarkson build off its strong weekend against QU and Princeton? Can SLU cement its place in the top four? Can Yale build off its big wins at "Colage" (;) ) and Cornell, or will it have a letdown after a huge weekend? And can Brown get past a Clarkson team...
Location: Pollard Family Rink at Meehan Auditorium (PFRAMA), Providence, RI
Gametime: 7:00 PM
Description:
It should be another close and exciting games, as the Brown-Cornell games at Meehan usually are. Thoughts and updates are welcome here. I will be at the game, so I won't be providing...
