RPI 2025–26: Off the Critical List and In Recovery

I expect 10-12 wins given the strength of the non-conference schedule with 15 wins max if they really exceed expectations. No top end players up front, a bunch of solid middle of the lineup types, which gives them good depth but it'll only go so far. Super young blue line that has talent but...

RPI 2025–26: Off the Critical List and In Recovery

Jovanovic is too old for junior hockey. He's an 04

RPI 2025–26: Off the Critical List and In Recovery

18-20 wins is insane. Zero chance. Wallace and Tapper are not as good as Hotson and Caron. The only player on the roster capable of hitting 30 points on the year is Tinling. They'll be good eventually but not this year

Unless I missed it, I also don't see him on any WHL rosters

Carter Matthews is still not on Trail's preseason roster

Thanks I was wondering where those players would end up

    RPI Recruit Thread 2025-2026

I don't think any of them are D3 types except maybe Oakenfold. But they're nothing special either. Lots up in the air of course, probably will wait and see how they play

RPI 2025–26: Off the Critical List and In Recovery

Can't believe we have to wait an entire month for this team to hit the ice

I would cut Shaw. Undersized and did nothing in BCHL last year. Only produced in a weak NAHL. Would also cut Oakenfold. Would wait and see on Lariviere. I still think Ziliotto is good enough.

    RPI Recruit Thread 2025-2026

It's kind of weird to me that a player who has already proven he can play a contributing role in the league can't find a spot. I know it's only 3 per team but Oshawa had room

    RPI Recruit Thread 2025-2026

I think we will end up keeping him. He was a raw prospect when he committed in the first place, and then he had a late growth spurt to go from 6'4 to 6'6. Bigger players take longer to develop. Wouldn't be surprised if he breaks out this year.

This doesn't make sense to me. First, Chemrouk is better than Dwyer, who made his team. Second, he scored 4 goals in the preseason. What more do you want the guy to do?

Lariviere is on Trail's preseason roster but Matthews isn't as of right now. It's not a full roster yet so I assume he will be on there eventually

RPI 2025 Off-Season: Help Is On the Way

LOL touche, hope he proves me wrong of course. We have plenty of depth if I am right though. I'm very comfortable with how our 3rd and 4th lines will look but our overall offense will depend on how much offense the top 6 can give us.

RPI 2025 Off-Season: Help Is On the Way

I'd also love to hear doc's take. Having hip surgery followed by atrophy sounds pretty serious, but I have no idea how the recovery works. He's been skating for about 9 months according to Lang, but I would assume it's quite a long path to regain all the strength and range of motion. And that's...

Thanks AD! I also really liked what he said about his defensive system. It sounds simple but effective and had clear results at AIC

Looks like I went 6/18. (Did not predict Jovanovic) Honestly, not terrible given the number of new players LOL
