The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
It is, but that's what they should be working off of AT THIS POINT.
The USCHO voters never change anything it seems until very late into the season. At least D3HN values the results and not name brands when they're not deserving.
D3hn Preseason poll is out. Said this over in the mens thread, but don't be surprised if this is the only poll this year, as USCHO cuts are coming even harder.
Particularly for women, the D3HN poll was much better than uscho last year, so I think it's time to start recognizing this one over...
Preseason poll is out for D3HN. Pretty decent poll. I'm hearing this may be the only one this year, as USCHO has found a way to make even more cuts to staff, and I don't even know if doing a D3 poll is worth it to them.
IMO, I liked D3HN's rankings much better than Ushco's last year anyways
It is 6.0. However, the NCAA implements the change the following academic year, so that the “number is stable enough and not a one-off.” It will grow to 15 for the 2027 tournament.
And all of a sudden, the schedule is starting to fill up...
According to D3 Hockey News, they have 16 games scheduled:
HOME:
Anna Maria
Assumption
CT College
Franklin Pierce
Salem State
So. Maine
Wesleyan
AWAY:
Anna Maria
Keene State
Saint Mike's (X2)
Salem State (X2)
Southern Maine

Not 2025-26 news, but 2026-27.

Salve re-joins the CNE as a hockey-only member for next season for men's and women's hockey. Along with Roger Williams, the CNE will have nine programs...

Big news: Salve re-joining the CNE as an associate member for men's and women's hockey in 2026-27. Brings the CNE to 10 men's hockey-playing schools and 8 women's hockey-playing...
True. In all honesty, this is a slam dunk hire for Hamline. With Carroll's time seemingly coming to an end at Gustavus, I think Augsburg and Hamline will run the MIAC for the next half-decade or so.
Women's will be very interested to see if they can draw.
River Falls, Plattsburgh, Norwich, Gustavus, Middlebury are a clear top 5 in terms of "will bid every chance they get." Oswego should be in this category as well, but I don't think they will put in consistent bids like the above schools...
Appears both men and women committees voted that it will be neutral sites only for the foreseeable future back at the joint meeting last month.
(5 voted yes, 2 voted to keep current every other year format)
Yup. Salve is completely screwed. If they don’t figure it out quickly, the program may fold. I’ve been using this link and D3hockeynews is pretty on top of the non-conf games.

Knight being unprotected is a little shocking to me, as well as Maltais and Carpenter.
Ashton Bell is the best non-Minnesota player available. Jacques should be the first overall pick from the Frost, and I wouldn't be shocked if her teammate Claire Thompson is right behind her.

Huge news, as Strand was one of the better coaches out west. It'll be interesting to see how UWEC rebounds, as they were pitiful pre-Strand
St. Scholastica hires former UMD Bulldog Sydney Brodt as their new head coach.
Brodt only has one season of coaching experience, assisting Hamline’s staff in the 2022-23 season.
She recently played for the MN Frost in year one, and this past season had played in Sweden
