The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.

Total ECAC Goals: 27
RPI Men's ACHA hockey beat Union tonight by a final score of 9-0. That brings their opening weekend total to 23 goals scored. 4 goals given up. If this is what our club team can do, imagine what our D1 team can do.
I've been thinking about it, and in theory I would agree that's sort of where we should be. The one thing is, we are a team that has a new head coach, new assistant coach, and a team made up of rookies and transfers. If they mesh well from the start, we can definitely get the wins required to be...
RPI men's hockey comes in at 11 in the ECAC coach's poll. Full rankings below:
Qpac
Clarkson (sucks)
Cornell
Dartmouth
Union
Harvard
Colgate
Princeton
SLU
Brown
RPI
Yale
Those were the jerseys they wore the past two years. I was hoping we would get a new jersey with the coach change, and the change in center ice, sort of like the start of a new era of RPI hockey, but that looks very unlikely.
From ECAC coaches poll for women's hockey:
1. Cornell
2. Colgate
3. Clarkson
4. St Lawrence
5. Qpac
6. Princeton
7. Yale
8. Brown
9. Union
10. Harvard
11. Dartmouth
12. RPI
Looks like RPI women's hockey is going to be fighting an uphill battle this season. Hopefully they can prove the...
With us being under a month to Game 1 RPI vs BU, what are people's expectations for this season? This has certainly been an eventful off season. We started by replacing our head coach. And then to top it off, we overhauled nearly the entire roster. With all this new coming into RPI for the...
You're joking, right? We were a bottom tier team the past two seasons, and both Freakouts were so loud you can barley hear the broadcast if you try to rewatch them on RPI TV's YouTube channel. You can barley hear the goal horn on the broadcast because the crowd is so loud. The only other game in...
Respectfully, I don't think I necessarily buy this argument. The field house feels empty most games because it's gigantic. It was built for a capacity of approximately 5200, and was reduced to approximately 4,700, which is by far the largest in conference. The only others that comes close in...
We're a team that lives or dies by a goalie having a good performance. Not watching the game, but periodically checking the live stats, and it appears that Harvard is not doing much better on the stat sheet RPI is losing shots on goal by 1 shot, but winning shots total. Harvard is also only...
According to https://www.playoffstatus.com/ecachockey/rensselaerstandings.html as of right now, RPI has a 3% chance at getting home in the playoffs, and a 97% chance of being away. If RPI does not sweep the weekend, we are guaranteed a road away game. If RPI wins 1 game, we are likely to finish...
I originally listened to today's game on the radio, but I just watched the highlights on the ECAC hockey YouTube channel.
Goal number 1 for Colgate - our goalie is way out of the net playing the puck. Colgate gets it and scores.
Goal number 2 for Colgate: A really slow shot from the blue line...
Tonight RPI takes 71 shots, and puts 31 of those on goal. Scores 0.
Colgate takes 54 shots, and puts 38 of those on goal. Scores 4.
Tonight was not a good look for the engineers.
Shots on goal:
RPI - 20
Colgate - 30
RPI needs shots on goal, along with preventing Colgate from shooting this 3rd period. If Colgate has another period like the 2nd period, they will end the game in the high 40s, possibly 50s for shots on goal.
