The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
You shouldn't Russ, because you don't know shit about fuck about anything really
And if you want to talk so much shit about the program, the fans, but then root for us because no arena comes close to ours? It's comical
Why doesn't Mr. SUNYAC go simp more for some of those poverty schools and...
I wholeheartedly agree. They have chosen a bracket that holds integrity above in just about every way over money, as that's all we can ask for honestly
It seems they've finally picked bracket integrity over distance, this bracket rocks
Potential Utica vs. St Norbert quarterfinal
Trine hosting Oswego in Round 1
First Round:
Oswego @ Trine
Eau-Claire @ Aurora
Gustavus @ St. Norbert
Fitchburg @ Utica
Stevenson @ Geneseo
Hamilton @ UNE...
No changes in bids/NPI to report on, so this will more likely than not be the bracket we see tomorrow morning
CNE: Curry (1)
MAC: Stevenson (19)
MASCAC: Fitchburg (49)
MIAC: Gustavus (30)
NCHA: St. Norbert (5)
NEHC: Hobart (2)
NESCAC: Hamilton (9)
SUNYAC: Oswego (16)
UCHC: Geneseo (6)
WIAC...
One thing I'm tracking today as a thing to watch is UNE has fallen to 8th in the NPI and Hamilton is 9th, with a difference of 0.365
If Hamilton secures their auto-bid, there is a good chance they could flip spots with UNE in the seed list, which could create a potential Utica v. Hamilton...
It feels like now that we've seen a season with the NPI, it's at least safer to say that the NPI weighs bad losses more heavily than it would a good win
That 3 week stretch for St. Norbert losing to Stout, Concordia and MSOE was a killer to their NPI and Aurora just didn't have a bad loss on...
Yeah the East/West bracket exists if it has to, but it's not required.
In this case, Geneseo and Hobart are within 500 miles of Trine, and moving those teams to their own quadrant makes the East and West quadrants make more sense
Only rink in North America with those boards 😂
It's a really cool look, and rumor is they've had people in the NHL looking at them for their arenas, so you might see more of them in the future
So it splitting it up first by region (or teams that can play in both), and then seed the teams accordingly based on those list, and then assigning the matchups based on these seeds
For example, in this scenario we have:
EAST:
1 - Curry
2 - Utica
3 - UNE
4 - Hamilton
5 - Oswego
6 - Stevenson...
Yeah that first period was.....yeah. Loved the fightback in the 2nd but once it was 5-3, it was over
Luckily, besides bragging rights, the game honestly didn't matter as much as it probably should've
We should have Fitchburg next Saturday at 2 at home, which obviously is a favorable matchup for us
Going into the final day of the regular season and only 2 more bids to give out, this is where we stand:
CNE: Curry (1)
MAC: Stevenson (19)
MASCAC: Fitchburg (49)
MIAC: Gustavus (30)
NCHA: St. Norbert (5)
NEHC: Hobart* (2)
NESCAC: Hamilton* (9)
SUNYAC: Oswego (16)
UCHC: Geneseo (6)
WIAC...
A new update with Fitchburg State moving into the AQ in the MASCAC
CNE: Curry (1)
MAC: Wilkes (17)
MASCAC: Fitchburg State (54)
MIAC: Gustavus (33)
NCHA: St. Norbert (5)
NEHC: Hobart (2)
NESCAC: Hamilton (9)
SUNYAC: Oswego (16)
UCHC: Utica (3)
WIAC: Eau Claire (40)
At-Large:
Aurora (4)...
Just as we all predicted, it will be #8 MCLA @ #4 Fitchburg in the MASCAC title game
MCLA, number 80 out of 86 in the NPI, is one game away from the NCAA tournament
