The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
That's interesting to me.
Earlier this year, after the UW volleyball team lost at home to USC, it was the team members who failed to stay and sing the alma mater. Whether it was the first loss in the Field House this year, or that it was something of an upset, or that it was the first home loss...
(I hate typing this, but...)
If you mean at LaBahn in Madison, there are really very few chances left to do so.
The next home series is Jan 24 and 25, and then because of the Olympics, that may well be it until the WCHA first round playoffs Feb 27-28. And then a first-round NCAA tournament...
The disallowed UW goal was a little more muddled. The disallowed OSU goal was clearly a good goal, as far as I understand things. Somebody needs to explain it to me.
There must be something I don't understand about "goalie interference". How can a single offensive player skating with the puck into the blue ice commit "interference"? She had the puck when she entered the blue ice!
I looked just now for offsides, because they had the regular linesman at OSU games Iffland in for the challenge review, and it was nowhere at all close to offsides. So I have no idea. I was not listening to Badger radio; maybe Greenie saw something, or he'll find out in the locker room between...
I was watching what I could on small screen at volleyball, so it was hard to tell: were those Ohio State jerseys scarlet, or grey?
(Sarcasm off, and smh ...)
As if it wasn't going to be bad enough, the Eastern Illinois setter - the team Wisconsin played in volleyball - was injured sometime between winning their conference tournament and last night. They had to play with a setter who had played VERY little during the regular season. Imagine playing...
Nine goals in the second period, a new team record - was 7 four different times, most recent vs Lindenwood in 2023.
Zilisch had one goal in two years at Bemidji, and none with Wisconsin before today. Today, a hat trick.
Mot goal in a game is 16, vs Lindenwood in 2023. Largest margin is 15, in...
Normal Badger women hockey broadcast, 1070 AM "The Game" in Madison. I think there's a link to online stream at the schedule page on the web site, but I'm in Madison.
I'm listening to the radio, and Greenie is saying good things about what the Stonehill goalie is doing, how she's handling the onslaught the Badgers are throwing at her,
Attendance listed at 530, which I guess isn't too bad. I wonder how that compares to other holiday games in odd places; Colorado a few years ago and somewhere in California before that, maybe others I'm not recalling right now.
