Boston College Women's Hockey '25-'26: It's The Hope That Kills You

Yeah, that's right. As I said, you had mentioned Watts, so that implied you were talking about both teams. Then "the question" changed.

Boston College Women's Hockey '25-'26: It's The Hope That Kills You

Knight's goal put the Wisconsin total at 14 for this Olympics, if I counted correctly. I didn't check assists. -------------- 32 total assists, 31 playing in the gold medal game for UW players. ------------- That's for all national teams. When you mentioned Watts, I thought you were talking...

    2026 Winter Olympics

In round Robin play, it was 5 minutes, then shootout. In the bronze it was 10, then shootout. They said this is going to be 20. My guess is then shootout. But a scoreless 20 minutes of 3-on-3 is pretty unlikely.

Every time, I think to myself "pulling the goalie works WAY more often than it should"

To be fair, during a power play, she's more of a 4th forward than a defender. But she wasn't really moving her feet, etc.

Do you mean goals in this Olympics, or 'career' goals?

Speaking of, I was idly wondering why Muzerall was never on an Olympic roster. Too much Canadian depth in 2002, etc?

    2026 Winter Olympics

First, her name is Brandli, sometimes spelled Braendli. She was Ohio State's #1 goalie for three seasons: years ending in 2019, 2020 and the COVID season 2021. In 2021-22 she split time with Amanda Thiele during Thiele's sophomore year, and then transferred to Brown for her 'extra' COVID year...

    2026 Winter Olympics

At the "risk" of turning an Olympic gold into a participation medal, I think Badger fans and Gopher fans and Buckeye fans should want the winner to alternate between US and Canada. To maximize the number of players you've been rooting for have a gold on their resume. Eg Knight has a gold from...

There is a non-zero chance that by Saturday evening, her team might have won the conference championship. Maybe she should be with her team preparing them for their games this weekend?

One of the two equipment managers - Sis Paulsen - was the UW equipment manager and director of hockey operations for a half-dozen years. through 2024 (?), and is now the equipment manager for the Minnesota PWHL team. She played at UW from 1999 through 2003. She was also the equipment manager for...

With eleven players from Wisconsin in the game tomorrow compared to (if I counted correctly) seven from Ohio State, shouldn't you be hoping such mentions have no particular effect?

    WCHA 2025-26

Between Saturday night and Sunday morning, Penn State had actually passed them into third in the NPI, by something like 0.015. Then a butterfly flapped its wings in Argentina on Sunday, and Minnesota went back into third. (There were two games played Sunday that had enough of an effect on the...

    Wisconsin Women's Hockey 2025-2026

I checked my credit card statements from last year. There's a charge for $48 dollars for WCHA tickets, and that could be for two or three sets for the two games. I have a friend who hasn't been able to get season tickets of his own, so when the announcements go out to season ticket holders, I...
