The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Another good question, but i would think anyone that committed here for fall of 26 and 27 campaigns would have already mixed the arena inconvenience into their decision. Guessing anyone who changes their mind after this will be for NIL or TOI.
True, but i'm of the mindset that the hit to recruiting will be minimal from this point forward, or has actually already been recently absorbed. The roster is already chock full for the next two seasons with decent recruits, and the arena opens Sep of 2028 (or conservatively, Jan 2029)...
It appeared their intention was to play the game like a real game for the first 10 minutes, and TBH, they looked very good, high energy fun to watch. After that, they pulled Zacher for Q, rolled a lot of new faces for the rest of the game. With about 8 minutes left, they swapped out Q for...
The one positive takeaway from last night is that Hockey East officials can, in fact, call a game without even being noticeable. They did miss one blatant slash by an USMA D man to the back of Mathieu after the whistle, but other than that, they disappeared into the background all night. It was...
i didn't do a deep dive, but there are general rules about when schedules have to be finalized and announced. That said, maybe in this case, the NCAA and HE will give NU a one-time extension for present circumstances. (i had been told by someone at NU that the schedule had to be out NLT Aug 1...
The fact that they moved NU/Mack to a Sunday probably means they found a venue free on Sunday, so NU schedule release should be imminent...........i hope..... :)
Give it another two weeks, i think the schedule has to be out by end of the month. Guessing you will see a mix of WBA, Bright, Agganis as the sites for our final 5 or 6 "home" games. And that will most likely be the plan for the next couple seasons as far as home games. Seriously hope Sept 2028...
Just thinking out loud, but if the Bentley goalie was dislodging the net, they likely would not have been repairing the area under the pegs repeatedly? Maybe it was both, but i think the problem got resolved. No matter, the entire venue was a disaster as indicated above. The only thing i haven't...
The UMass game vs NU from the NU ticket renewal is a non conference home game. NU will most likely be front loading schedule with HE and OOC home games.
Hope i'm wrong on some of this, but they will start next year without 4, 6, 8, 9, 12, 15, 29, 22(maybe)......due to graduation or the pros. Did i miss anyone?
Someone did mention to me last night that they may be playing all (or almost all) of their home games in Oct/Nov/Dec, then would be playing actual road games starting in January. This would eliminate the need of a replacement arena for home games, for next season at least.
I was referring to games only, but had done a walk through the BC schedule from 86-88. They had more games at WBA than Matthews, but they did have some at Matthews. Easy enough if you open up their schedule archives, you can see when they played at BU, NU, Harvard.
I can't imagine the school...
Further, BC has 4 teams that play at Conte (M/W/Hockey/Hoops). BU has one team playing at WBA. We need a place for two teams to play. Would it be a stretch to think our men play at WBA/Bright, and our women play at Warrior/WBA/Bright? We'll probably get an occasional game at Conte (vs BU...
Last I heard - Matthews still in use til roughly Dec 2025. Denver is playing here in Oct/Nov for one game. That was made public when we were out there. Deconstruction of arena would be shortly thereafter. Play/practice at multiple local facilities. What does that mean? One could easily infer...
