The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
I appreciated your optimism but there's no amount of packing it in that could have gotten Elmira over the Falcons and that showed today.
So the semis are:
Amherst vs Middlebury
Augsburg vs UW-River Falls
So Augsburg is the top seed but UWRF is the host...who gets the home bench for that semi...
River Falls looks so strong heading into this tourney and they have the best offensive numbers in the league. I'm skeptical that Elmira can stop them.
Sevcikova has been playing outstanding and the Soaring Eagles need the defensive game of a lifetime to pull it out.
Here is the full list of 2025 Laura Hurd Award finalists:
Sydney Bradley, SR D, Alvernia - Lititz, PA (MAC Defensive Player of the Year)
Anna Dale, SO F, Lebanon Valley - Juneau, AK (MAC Offensive Player of the Year)
Samantha Fantasia, SR F, Endicott - Billerica, MA (CNE Player of the Year)...
Courtnie Hogan from SNC is the NCHA Player of the Year and Augsburg's Nora Stepan is the MIAC Defensive Player of the Year.
Both are Laura Hurd Award finalists.
I think there may be some sort of moratorium on new single sport conferences so they would need most of them to be part of one multisport and the others join as affiliates for the sport if the moratorium is true and I didn't hallucinate it...
A handful of other commitments:
First Name Last Name Position Hometown Previous School/Club Commitment
Shayleigh Nielsen F/D NH Boston Hockey Academy Anna Maria
Eleanor Rowe Smiley F IL Team Illinois Curry
Emily Edmunds D Torbay, NL Ontario Hockey Academy Keene State
Emerson Spinale F...
I only caught the third period of Elmira at Plattsburgh due to prior commitments, but a ton of credit to the Soaring Eagles' freshman goalie Sevcikova and the defense in front of her keeping the Cardinals off the board. If she continues to play like that between the pipes it could be another...
Shoutout to the Gophers for the DIII love 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The photo used in this Insta post about the sellout was of the crowd at last year's UW-River Falls vs Elmira NCAA DIII championship game
I think they get their autobid for the 2027 tourney not 2026.
There should be a 13th team next year based on the access ratio, so if they implement that we get two more at large as the NEHC will not exist next year. As of now the LEC has been denied their request for the NEHC's autobid but...
Nice article from AP Sports about how the growth of girl's hockey is fueling the growth of DIII women's college hockey. Given how MSOE features prominently (a lot of it is framed through the lense of MSOE head coach Baylee (Wellhausen) Marabella) including being the only program pictured I...
Plattsburgh is 37-23-3 all time vs Elmira and 24-9-1 at home all time against the Soaring Eagles.
Elmira however is red hot coming in on a 9 game winning streak, outscoring opponents 39-8 in that span though that is helped by their opponents in that streak including William Smith, Albertus...
Were you following the league back when the at larges were decided by people? People hated that too and it was even more unfair because the committee never had to explain themselves
