The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Unsurprisingly, after the first couple of days in August, Lowell didn't pick up a commit. neither did UConn, UVM or Merrimack, and surprisingly enough, BC didn't either.. BU, Maine, UMass and UNH all picked up a commit, while Northeastern and PC picked up 3. Almost all the commits are 2009 DOB.
Doesn't affect us, but NEHJ had a good article this morning about how the new recruiting landscape might affect those August 1st commitments. The expectation is the "big" programs will continue to get the commits, but it won't be as prevalent as has been in the past (but they did note, the...
Edited to correct a mistake on my part.
There were multiple comments made the past month or so though that they were hoping to add another Center. He's one of only two they have that's coming from Major Junior that isn't 21 (just actually just turned 20 and Diego Buttazzoni is 19), so I'm...
Barry Scanlon has done a pretty good job covering the program for the Lowell Sun, so I won't blame him, but it's weird to see yesterday's Sun have an article about Lowell picking up a commit. I had to laugh, since Aidan Dyer committed back in December.
I'm assuming that Goich and Elliott will be competing for the starter spot. If Richard is going to compete, I wonder if that means Solomon might have to look elsewhere for 2026.
I'll note once again that these rankings include players that aren't coming to Lowell, but NZ currently has us moved up to 9th in the country. NZ still shows Classon (3.5), Dolzhenko (3.5) and Guest (3.75) as commits and I know the latter two aren't committed to Lowell anymore. It also shows a...
A new Goalie commit, 6'4, 177 pounds, 2004 who currently plays for Shreveport (NAHL). Nikola Goich, he's a 3.5* as per NZ, from Homer Glen, IL. With this commit, I'd guess Solomon moves to 2026 as incoming.
France struggled (putting it mildly) as their tournament ended today, losing all 7 games (one in OT).
Grigals struggled for Latvia in net in his one game, finishing with a 81.08% save rate and a 7.00 GAA.
Even with one more, we only have three "bench players" on a game to game basis, which doesn't provide much depth based on injuries. Of course we now have a ton of D-men.
Are we really looking at only 14 forwards on the roster next year? Seems really late to add 2 or 3?
Forwards (14):
Seniors: Jay Ahearn, Dillan Bentley, Jack Collins, Connor Eddy
Juniors: Jaiden Moriello, Jan Vaarwerk
Sophomores: Mirko Buttazoni, Chris Delaney, Jacob MacDonald, Libor Nemec, Lee...
