The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
The "problem" is that college hockey (outside of the top recruits) doesn't get the information that basketball and football do. So in many cases, we'll never know why a player decommitted, or if it was even the players choice.
I could be wrong, but the last I saw, he was signed to a 5 year deal that would end after the 2026/2027 season.
In regards to the decommits, someone earlier brought up a good point as to why that might have happened basically saying the players might have been told to look elsewhere, not that...
Is it me or is it strange that we haven't picked up a single commitment in over 6 months now? I know we picked up one in July, but he was for this year's freshman class.
A second practice ice-rink for the Hawks, and a hotel attached to Tsongas to boot? As per today's Lowell Sun, UML is looking to build a bit more in the area and also fix some things at the Tsongas. I wonder if the second practice rink would give us finally a chance to have a women's hockey team?
It's just not been a good season for any of the Lowell winter teams. WBB currently has the best record at 5-6, MBB is 4-8 but three of their wins are against D3 teams. Just an all around bad patch right now.
As of now, with only 2 goalies on the roster next year, I don't know if either will leave? Maybe Goich will not want to be the backup (he hasn't seen any time this year), but unless things go horribly wrong, Elliott will walk into next season as the #1 and would probably stick it out.
Watching the last game at Matthews, brings back some great memories. I'm sure the new place will be nice, but there was always something fun about Matthews, especially in the balcony.
I've said it on these boards many times, I don't like them losing, but a part of the experience is entertainment. So many of those losses have been embarrassing and not in the least bit entertaining. The loss to BC was frustrating, but it was an enjoyable game. Losing 6-0 at home to WMU, getting...
With the first half of the season coming to an end, Lowell is currently tied for 8th, one point ahead of UNH (who has a game in hand) and surprisingly 4 points ahead of dead last UMass (who also has a game in hand).
The reference has been made on this thread to about 11 months ago when Lowell...
I was honestly just expecting that...
Fowler's 6 goals would put him second on the Hawks this year in goals. Scout Truman's 8 for UMD would lead Lowell.
16 games played, in 9 of them Lowell has scored 1 goal or less.
More stats ...
The last time we won the HE Tournament Title (2016/2017 season), in league play Lowell averaged 3.45 GPG while giving up 2.32. Overall, Lowell scored 3.68 GPG and gave up 2.32 in their 41 games that season.
Just...
I know two of the games were neutral sites, but for this purpose, I'm counting them as road games.
Lowell is 6-8 overall this season, 35 GF 38 GA.
On Friday's, they're 2-6, 13 GF 22 GA. At home, they're just 1-2 on Fridays, scoring 5 goals, giving up just 4 (but they've only scored 1 goal in...
