    Cardiac Black Bears strike again. Northeastern has been opportunistic and pushed when they needed to Maine. Took Maine a while to wake up but the last half of that 3rd period was much better.

    I’d put Makar, Renwick and Russell out there against them. That line is great in their own end and extremely heavy in the ozone. Probably a lot of potential for the Freel, Scott and Nadeau line to have a big game if the NU top line gets bottled up.

    Great to see Antonacci have a weekend like that. His “benching” was never personal, much like Arnott, they just weren’t up to standard a few weeks after Christmas. He looked great tonight and hope he hangs around next year as a veteran presence.

    Playoffstatus.com does a really nice job laying out potential seedings. Penn state has a 30% of being a 3 seed and a 42% chance of missing the tourney. My money is on Maine being a 1 seed and playing the winner of the ECAC tourney round 1.

    Newark airport is about the same distance from Allentown. Probably doesn’t change much as they’re both over an hour but gives people more options.

    I should rephrase. I think there are clearly 3 teams we want to avoid in the QFs (Providence, UMass, UConn). However if you told me it was UConn or BC or BU at the garden I’d pick to play UConn.

    Yeah it is pretty crazy, especially considering when I turn on a UConn game the place looks 60-70% full. I’m going in keep an eye on it, maybe some tickets will pop up as we get closer to game time. Should be a hell of a game and interested to see they’re state of the art D3 capacity rink.

    Anyone have luck finding tickets at UConn? Not sure if I’ll go but wanted to see what’s available. Idk who builds a 2k seat arena but tickets are absolutely impossible to find for south of 75 bucks.

    Scholle has been so clutch for us in the shootouts. Feel like he’s been the odd guy out in terms of line juggling and keeps playing 4th line roles and minutes but I believe he’s 4 for 5 in shootouts this year.

    Maine has taken 18 out of a possible 24 points since the calendar changed. Considering the quality of the opponent and road series at Lowell and Providence, I’d consider that pretty great. It’s not always pretty but these guys find a way to win. Those were the types of games come tournament...

    Maine weathered the storm from Providence yesterday. Although Maine played arguably their worst game of the year through 2 periods, it never felt like they were out of it. I think Providence is pretty demoralized today and wouldn’t be surprised if Maine carries play from the jump.
