The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
statistically speaking he’s the worst in RPI history. I’m not counting Leroy Clark or Marvin Callan those guys coached less than 50 games back in the 20s and 30s. Take them out of the equation and he’s the worst. Agreed some out of his control but alot was in his control. All behind us now. I...
Agreed! He seemed like a good guy. Wish him well but man he was the worst coach RPI ever had. Good grief it was tough watching his teams. Maybe his style fits ECHL hockey best ? High scoring zero defense.
I was expecting him to land with a ECHL team. I think his head coaching days in the NCAA D1 are over. Good to see him land a head coaching job. Rapid city is a cool little place. Black hills right in your backyard. If you like outdoor activities it’s great.
Chuck Weber now the GM and head coach of the Iowa Heartlanders (ECHL). Good to see him land on his feet. The old Heartlanders. That’s definitely the heartland lol
The bigger programs will
It’s definitely a concern but I think the addition of major junior players definitely helps even it out. My thoughts are the big name programs will always draw the top players. That’s what happening now. Not much will change with that. Take a look at clarkson recruits...
I disagree. I actually think the smaller schools will become much more competitive. The nil and revenue sharing will only go so far. Plus the amount of money going to hockey from the schools for revenue sharing is peanuts. 90% goes to football and basketball. The talent pool has significantly...
That’s a tough schedule. Not sure how many wins we get vs hockey East schools but I’m sure we won’t be losing by 6-8 goals like we were under smith. I don’t understand the 4pm Saturday games either? Very odd
Definitely a possibility. Maine is out of control with 47 guys listed. That’s just ridiculous. The addition of chl guys in the recruit pool really opens things up for smaller schools in terms of talent. Lang I’m sure is watching very closely. I also wonder if Schneider will flip a few clarkson...
The recruiting battles are intense. I would imagine quite a few will land on ECAC lists. I like our chances to land some serious talent for 2026. I can’t say this enough but getting Schneider as the top recruiter is massive. We should start to see some serious talent coming to Troy in the next...
