    If you're not in the portal these days, you're a dinosaur. It's 2025, OK? And the portal is irrelevant in this context, anyway. D-1 guys have been allowed to drop to D-3 without sitting out for decades now. All this whining is completely moot, in that light.

    Haven't researched everyone, but it looks like another good class. Certainly some guys will be missed: Breault, Wood, Scoville, Murph come to mind immediately.     I was being sincere. Mostly. But, yeah, my local D-3 arena has been strictly enforcing a ban on movement in and around the seats during live play, and it's a beautiful thing. Not sure if the Alfond is set up to do that, though. You kinda need to be able to stem the flow from concourse...

    Drafty, any D-3 program that realistically wants to compete would be absolutely insane to eschew D-1 wash-outs. It's funny how so many of those guys who failed at that level excel down here, including a few being D-3 All-Americans. The gulf in talent is still surprisingly wide.

    Talked to his family at a Lowell game many years ago. His uncle said "Nicky only skates when he has the puck". His Mom said something like "He thinks he's God's gift to the game of hockey, but he's got a rude awakening coming". Funniest hockey family EVER! Great people.

    A bit off-topic, but -as we are contractually obligated to despise BC- it was great fun to see baseball down them just now. This team is hot. Another AE title seems likely.
