    I believe that Madison is the next predetermined western site. Hopefully SNC's new rink would probably make a great future host too.

    It matters to me. I would definitely attend if SNC hosted, and would most likely attend if Aurora hosted (and SNC was still in it).

    Maybe without a host, the NCAA will just use KRACH to select the champion and Fishman will be able to die happy.

    I'm really curious how similar the rankings would look under PWR. I'm guessing the top 8 would be essentially unchanged, maybe some slight differences in seeding.

    By my count, Beloit is closer to six NCHA schools than they are to the closest WIAC school, and about the same distance to two more NCHA schools. Trine and Adrian are both closer than Superior.

    Isn't there a school in Ohio adding hockey in the next year or two? As much as I hate this idea, there would be enough teams for a WI-only private school conference with the addition of Beloit.

    I could be wrong, but it's hard to imagine that any school in the West would choose the WIAC over their current conference affiliation at this point in time, even if it gives them a slightly easier path to an AQ bid.     DIII Hockey News is reporting that Beloit to the WIAC isn't a done deal. I'm not sure if this implies that they might be NCHA-bound, or that they just haven't crossed the t's and dotted the i's with the WIAC yet.

    Don't be fooled by the 6-1 loss to SNC in the conference semifinals. That was actually a pretty closely played game. The difference was SNC burying basically all of their quality opportunities and Garvey standing on his head in goal.
