    No it would not have. St Thomas is ineligible. Period. The moment they beat BG, the other semi became the de facto auto bid game.

    No they wouldn't have. When St Thomas joined the conference, everyone knew this was a possibility. Backing in is needing someone to lose. We didn't need BGSU to lose (and neither did Bemidji).

    Completely agree with this. No team should shy from recruiting a player if they think that player will fit their program. They may not win a lot, but with the transfer portal, they may be available again down the line.

    After the splits coming after the Christmas break, this team has really started to get back on track. Hopefully they're peaking at the right time. Big question now is do you rest Tracy next weekend and give Pulver some ice time just in case he's needed down the line?

    UMass to open the season, St Cloud next week. Duluth a possibility the week after- but definitely later in the year. When was the last time a frozen four team scheduled the other three the very next season? Go Mavs!
