They did a survey too!
Will you drop some info re: these rumors?I think he stays. The bigger item is the rumors on some veteran transfers. Now that is the interesting stuff
I do not have enough yet to pass it along just that I know thats a direction that is being strongly considered which was said earlier is spot on plunder some vets and have some experience on the team. I do not pass along rumors unless I can 90%+ can confirm with someone because it's a jackass thing to doWill you drop some info re: these rumors?
The interesting part is who was the survey given to, i havent run into anyone yet who saw it.It’s very frustrating so many fans said they wanted higher ticket prices. I wonder how much money they wasted on a third party to go through some exercise any idiot with a smart phone could do?
I pay close to 5 grand for tickets and I didnt get crap and I see all the big wigs upstairs kissing butts every game lolThe interesting part is who was the survey given to, i havent run into anyone yet who saw it.
The 3rd party is now rooted in and very likely getting paid by commission. Even stranger.
What was the "increased cost" of hiring that outside company to tell them to raise prices to pay for increased costs? The BDN article citing "increased costs" and we "hired a firm" so "it's ok" is pretty cringe worthy. Just say you raised the prices because the team doesn't stink anymore.
Your a well above avg donor to the program, they should be paying attention to you.I pay close to 5 grand for tickets and I didnt get crap and I see all the big wigs upstairs kissing butts every game lol
Dont you know they get paid by some % - self serving. What was the "increased cost" of hiring that outside company to tell them to raise prices to pay for increased costs?
What a game for und to not have it together. Felt like Ive seen that game several times this past season.lots of maine fans there. Thought UND looked like shit. Picked a bad game for that. Wisconsin was good. DU Michigan was awesome. Both teams dead in 2ot, funny the game was decided by a snipe and not some bad bounce. I was in providence for the ot win against michigan and then the dead legs loss to BU in 95 Betting on Wisco later on![]()

I think we'll see even more Maine sweaters at away games with the new ticket prices. Mostly thinking of the fans in southern Maine that can just as easily travel south to catch a game vs. make the 2 hour trip north. Makes me wonder if this consulting firm considered the dispersion of Maine fans across the entire state. The more i read about this ticket pricing deal that has been discussed the more its starting to feel like when blake james sold out some important fans of the program with going to learfield. Fast forward to 2026 its now some corporate deal with playfly deciding what we should pay for tickets with little understanding of the fan base and local economy. The past few years has seen a good increase in the local fan base hope this doesn't prove to be a blunder that sets the progress made back.
A couple bad years of hockey performance could serve to lose a fair # of folks interest at these prices. Sitting in a half full rink isnt as much fun.
Puts Barr deep into the hot seat.
Huh interesting….Arthur S Demoulas died in 2018….must be a gift from his family or foundation. Arthur S. Is one half of the famous Deloulas Family of Lowell that owns Market Basket. He sold out his stake in the company in 2014 to his cousin Arthur T. Demoulas for $1.6 billion.![]()
Maine Athletics receives $500,000 gift to support Black Bear Student-Athlete Experience Fund - University of Maine Athletics
ORONO, Maine – Arthur S. Demoulas has committed $500,000 to support the men's ice hockey program through the Black Bear Student-Athlete Experience Fund.goblackbears.com
WTF are you talking about Drew? This gift is specifically dedicated to men's ice hockey. They are simply describing the student athlete experience fund in detail so people like you can't twist what it is.So the language when you go to donate to the student athlete experience fund is ‘including but not limited to…’ This is general fundraising dressed up as something that is supposedly specific for the team. I get times are tough financially for the school, but it’s really scummy what they are doing between this and jacking up ticket prices using some outfit from PA.
