However much a new arena costs, and they've already decided that's a no.Wonder how much will it cost for Ohio State to keep Muzzy a Buckeye?
Not correct, the fundraising for a new arena has officially begun but we're told unless a mega donor steps up it will take several years to bring in enough funds. However much a new arena costs, and they've already decided that's a no.
It’s been a decade long farce. Not correct, the fundraising for a new arena has officially begun but we're told unless a mega donor steps up it will take several years to bring in enough funds.
Once she leaves it will be hard to get a good replacement because of that place being a dump.If Minnesota gets Muzerall, as many suspect she's the top target, does Frost then become the leading candidate at OSU? Who would be next up there?
That so called dump has never been an impediment when it came to building one of the top of not THE top program in the country now has it?Once she leaves it will be hard to get a good replacement because of that place being a dump.
The other way to come at that is "imagine what Muzerall would be able to do when she can pitch herself, AND a full 3000 seat building". I wonder how much the falloff in attendance at Ridder, and so revenue, factored into today's decision. That so called dump has never been an impediment when it came to building one of the top of not THE top program in the country now has it?
If it's kept us from totally dominating Wisconsin then you better pray we don't get a state of the art new arena!![]()
Getting in front of a potential mark johnson retirement so they don’t lose the best candidate to Wisconsin. What does it "mean" anything that Minnesota did this now, instead of waiting a week for the NCAA season to be fully ended? The portal in past years would already be open, but opens next Monday. This gives both Gopher players and players elsewhere an additional week to 'digest' the news and decide if it has any effect on their plans? And where might Frosty end up (assuming he wants to jump right back in to coaching)?
Thinking out loud ...
Here’s an archive article from 1986 talking about replacing the ice rinkIt’s been a decade long farce.
One excuse after another after another after another
Johnson's contract goes through 2030 and I bet he'll have a major say in choosing his successor.Getting in front of a potential mark johnson retirement so they don’t lose the best candidate to Wisconsin.
I assume Johnson’s contract has been extended beyond the immediate year and I assume he’s coming back to Wisconsin next year but the Minnesota AD may not want to assume the same?
And - unlike some here - while I have zero inside information, it's generally accepted that Dan Koch is the heir-apparent.Johnson's contract goes through 2030 and I bet he'll have a major say in choosing his successor.
So they have basically admitted it’s a complete shithole for over 40 years.Johnson's contract goes through 2030 and I bet he'll have a major say in choosing his successor.
(You hit the wrong 'reply' button.)So they have basically admitted it’s a complete shithole for over 40 years.
Yet, here they sit with absolutely nothing.
Oops… Jackie is not going anywhere.(You hit the wrong 'reply' button.)
Accurate. It’s really unfortunate. So they have basically admitted it’s a complete shithole for over 40 years.
Yet, here they sit with absolutely nothing.
Idalski would be a great get. It's honestly hard to fathom Minnesota not going to the "has worked for the school before" well, and it's hard to fathom someone who either wouldn't start working right away or would have to leave a job in-season to do so. But I'd love that.Oops… Jackie is not going anywhere.
Dan Koch will be the next Badger coach when ever the time comes. He is in no hurry, is very comfortable in his role as it sits and along with his other endeavors during the spring and summer is just fine.
The Minnesota new hire will be a so called “Big name”
Wouldn’t at all be surprised if a former Women’s D1 coach returns from the PWHL to make waaaaay more money as head coach of the Gophers.
Understood. Not trying to stir the pot, just trying to think what the AD was thinking. And - unlike some here - while I have zero inside information, it's generally accepted that Dan Koch is the heir-apparent.
(Now, whether that means Jackie Crum could be lured away...)
