UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

It's crazy how incapable this team is at closing out games. Barr going to have to work some magic this offseason to overhaul this roster.

Not sure what the plan is in net, but I'm getting more nervous by the day.
I’m getting less nervous each game. It seems like we keep seeing evidence this team isn’t going anywhere. So nothing surprising there…

This team makes me so sad. Four huge points they've left on the table in games where they were the better team. Before these last two weekends they were very good in overtime too. Special teams are an abomination right now, especially the PP. Boija had some really great stops but also let in goals he should have stopped. I think they've actually played better in the second half of the season (excluding at Providence) but the results just haven't been there. I really don't know what else to say.

Thought Maine was better at beginning when yegerov gave up soft goal
BU improved as game went on -ritchie scoring winner has been disappointing this season
thought Poirier was dominant in first 2 games but not tonight
hockey east teams killing each other- vT crushing BC tonight

I meant more for next year and beyond. Rousseau has shown flashes but he looks a bit unrefined at times. Feel like he'd benefit more from a rotation than as a true #1 guy.

After the season he's had I wonder if teams will be in a rush to sign Boija. If he does leave, who is coming in? Shea maybe? Or does Barr look to the CHL for another guy if he's not ready.
