Oswego State Lakers 2025-26...Let's Take it up a notch.....

Very interesting Whiteout for sure, the first 2 periods were close checking and then the third opened up and was a great period of hockey....We. could not convert on several great scoring chances and hit the pipes 2 x, but a great end to the game non the less....caught the end of Skiddy game we looked ok, it was a trap game for sure and we managed to get out with a W....netminders played well all weekend, gonna be a tough decision game after game for the coaches to figure out, we yet to see Milberg our #1 from last yr???...Great to see Laker Nation as always...p.s Cortland Volleyball. and my daughter won the SUNYAC,waiting for the NCAA selection show tomorrow to see where they send us????...Go Lakers!!!!

Strange game with Platty. Didn't seem to have the same intensity as in past years at first. Weird feel but it turned out epic!! Both teams came out tight but the second half of the 1st period and entire second period had a different feel. Crazy ending! Throw out the records and rankings when these two teams play. Like when we played Cortland, Ithaca and LeMoyne in baseball. Saturday was definitely a trap game situation but good teams work through those things. Skidmore is not the same team as last year. Young roster. As far as Pete Sears. Great player, great person, great teacher, great coach. Had him as a teacher and coach in the Oswego City school district growing up. He expected nothing but your best! Will this start a trend of retiring numbers? Who's next? Dave Lair? Rick Pratt? and on and on and on.
 
I was told in Plattsburgh that SUNYAC wasn’t using goal judges any more. It was weird last weekend not to have them at home games. I haven’t done it in a few years, but still know the guy that did it. Clarification from someone in the know?
 
The young lakers have not played their best hockey this year. What we are seeing is a hockey team that is competing. Our All American Pete Sears whose jersey was retired Saturday night, stated this team is carrying on the Lakers tradition of regardless who they are playing they are in the game and competing to the end .

after going to the game in Genny, we looked flat vs.Platty in comparison, not sure why, maybe the 16 super sop's have been there done that??? 4-0 now ranked 8th they will be gunning for us for sure this weekend...hope we dont look past this weekend to bart and the U....Let's Go Lakers!!!!

The NCAA is moving away from goal judges to using a video system, like the pro leagues, have which Plattsburgh hasn't installed yet. This is across the board; schools currently have the option to have goal judges right now. This is from a friend of mine who refs in the college ranks.

Interesting. Oswego installed goal cameras on the redlight racks 4 or 5 years ago. As far as I know they were never used in games and they were removed a few years ago.

Yeah what is up with your goalie situation. I thought Millbrook was good and just had a tough stretch at end
 
We have to wonder how many season ticket holders in Utica. We are blocked from getting tickets for the Oswego game. Sold out !!!
Off to the North Country this weekend. Canton and Potsdam will be locked and loaded , we will not be looking past either team

There's alot. I barely got extra time at last year's Thanksgiving tournament
 
The issue with tickets is that most of the season ticket holders only go to the Utica Comets games. I been there and then check the attendance the next day and what's in the area vs what's posted just can't be.

looks like its a free for all btw the pipes in Oz, no inside info so just going by what we see so far the goalie who's last name starts with a M will get the start....will not be an ez North country trip, looks like Canton has stepped it up a notch, and Da Bears will play us tough as always......As for next weekend,lakeont55 you may have to scalp tiks or go on stub hub :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: ....as for volleyball Cortland knocked out first round NCAA's, better luck next year.......Let's Go Lakers!!!!!!

They are separate season tickets for Comets and Utica University.
