The extremely vocal RIT fanbase that ardently defended RIT's decision to move up hasn't been heard of on the forum for two years. Not sure what that means, and RPI's program is in the toilet.

Most have moved-on to Discord. I have done the same to stay informed on RIT Hockey topics, but I’m too damn old to keep-up with the conversations!!
 
Hobart gets off to a winning start with 3-1 win over Elmira. Beaver gets his first win of the season. Cooler opens tomorrow night with game 2 against Elmira.
 
Great start to the season going 2-0 against Elmira as the team spread the scoring and assists such that no player had multiple goals or assists. This is a very talented and deep team thanks to Taylor's leadership and the players belief in the system. This all in a funky rink that is THE COOLER.. Can't wait for the Utica "double header" starting Thursday at Utica. By the way, the Elmira goalie Brody Haynes in the Friday game was very good.

Cannot remember if I’ve ever seen Hobart take that many penalties in a game. The one that gave Utica a 5 on 3 at that point of the game was, IMO, marginal given the game situation.
But the tieing SH goal was a great shot (aiding by some weak defense), and the it play (smh)….

No doubt the penalties will be cleaned up, plus being at home, should make for a sweep.
 
Last night's replay credit to Tom Coughlin https://www.empire8network.com/utica/?B=2886986. What a game, what a win!

Whenever you think a 1-8 start is bad and your team is the worst of the worst and absolutely no one at any level can screw up as bad your team, check out this collage of brain freezes (fa---) these jabronies pulled off. At least our team hasn't done anything like this (yet)!!!

Obviously, no need to watch the whole thing. Proceed to EXACTLY 2 hours and 41 minutes of the above link, which I hope works, and get a load of the rest.

OOPS!!! Disregard. My bad. Meant to post it on the D1 board under RPI as we could all use a good laugh about now. Obviously, I didn't do it right.

No worries Tony Troy, hoping the Engineers can figure things out. As far as the Utica YouTube channel, it appears to be run with the philosophy of the old Soviet Hockey PR group, just edit out the end of the losses and goals by the opponent :ROFLMAO:

Those packages are put together by students. How is the production at Hobart? Still use the camera from 1965?

Haha, you'll see a full game tape on the HWS athletics Youtube channel after the game that will include all of the goals, even if Utica wins, which is certainly possible. Good luck to the Pioneers at the Cooler tonight and if you actually attend, enjoy the sight lines.. With luck, the teams will play again at the end of the season.
 
Another tight game with Utica , another Hobart win. Utica will beat Hobart at some point, hopefully not this year. Some tough hitting tonight, Beaver was focused , Hobart is so deep but Pioneers were in it all night.
 
The last time another team was ranked #1 , other than Hobart , was Utica on March 6, 2023. Thank you Mark Taylor., although the only poll that counts is the one after the last game of the season. Two kinda heavy penalty games against Utica, but we'll take them both. Skidmore and Plattsburgh at the Cooler this weekend.Not exactly "take a breath" games , as the new SUNYAC season begins.
