Omg! Lol. You spent the whole day planning your posts, Buford. God bless you, you silly moron! As for you potty ... why don't you just take the hint - which even you suggested on 1,243 - and make yourself scarce, OK????
Happy Labor Day.

There may be captains named already, but they simply have not been announced because fans who want to know this stuff are viewed with contempt and disdain. So it’s Labor Day. No captains yet. Remember when this was done at the friends event?
Whaaat??? PotFuck, did you say something? Sorry dude, you're ignored so I can't see nor can I give a fat rat's derriere about pointless drivel that you post hereI totally get your point, and I sincerely appreciate the kind words and support. And everyone else's as well.
Other than going after Scott today, our pal potty seems to have left an important clue. Seems s/he's itching to make the big reveal after all lol ...![]()
The Reader's Digest version you've missed out on was a reveal that s/he is "not that anonymous" on here, and s/he apparently possesses some unflattering DM's from several unspecified posters which form what s/he perceives to be his/her groundswell of support for what an arrogant, mean and nasty person/poster I am. I suppose it's her/him thinking s/he has some sort of blackmail on some folks, featuring purported hypocrisy from folks who are critical of my content in private, but supportive in public. To which I say (and said earlier) "big whoop". Let's just say the rant put a lot of (rancid) meat on the proverbial bones of potty's true identity.Whaaat??? PotFuck, did you say something? Brief???? HmmmmmmmOh, and someone who claims to have "met me" and did not relish that brief experience.
I don't think Maine captains have been released????The Reader's Digest version you've missed out on was a reveal that s/he is "not that anonymous" on here, and s/he apparently possesses some unflattering DM's from several unspecified posters which form what s/he perceives to be his/her groundswell of support for what an arrogant, mean and nasty person/poster I am. As someone who only responds to infrequent DM's on here, and never initiates any, I use that feature very rarely. But others on here who care (or maybe just enjoy solving puzzles) can begin to assemble a profile of a former semi-regular UNH poster who may be "from away" (note the constant barrage of comments diminishing NH in comparison with our neighbors to the south), seems to be a fan of big government, is sympathetic to academic elites and reluctant to criticize even the most obvious of struggling D-1 coaches for mediocrity, has communicated with some of you via DM in the past, and with whom some of you may have commiserated with to some degree over the frequency and/or content of my postings. Oh, and someone who claims to have "met me" and did not relish that brief experience.
I guess that's what your "Ignore" feature deprived you of last week, Scott. I was working with a short list of suspects to begin with, and last week's comments probably shortened that list down to a size where the prime suspects can be counted on my thumbs. At this point, I can't say that I care too much anymore, there is clearly some personal animus, and an at-times-creepy vendetta overriding it all. Happy sleuthing to the rest of our regulars and not so regulars!
Thank goodness hockey begins in a month's time. And to echo Snives' comments, it's totally ridiculous that something hasn't been released on captaincy selections yet OR if MS7 is waiting to get his new (older) guys with the rest of the team, and then make a captaincy decision ... which would be a newsworthy story in and of itself.
If they have been unsure if they know. There may be captains named already, but they simply have not been announced because fans who want to know this stuff are viewed with contempt and disdain.
I’d have Lavins, Leclerc, and JP. Winters is too often hurt. You need some presence on ice.Lavins- C
Fitzgerald- A
JP Turner- A
all were captains prior to UNH
There’s a limit on when coaches can lead practices vs what used to be captains practices to start the season. With so few people it should be easier. A “new” guy isn’t going to be in a leadership role. The Umile tree is play seniors with better freshman watching.Fourteen of the 27 players on the roster are brand new to the University. Of the 13 returners, only nine played more than 25 games last season. I'm not sure its utterly ridiculous that they'd spend some time together before settling on leadership...
BS, diversionary attempt, backfired. Now I'm convinced we've never ever "met" in even the broadest sense of the word. Nice work, sport.Brief???? Hmmmmmmm
My brother reminded me that captains were not revealed until October 11th last season.Fourteen of the 27 players on the roster are brand new to the University. Of the 13 returners, only nine played more than 25 games last season. I'm not sure its utterly ridiculous that they'd spend some time together before settling on leadership...

Agreed ... but as I stated on this topic earlier, a decision NOT to decide on captains should be a story unto itself. These aren't going to be your grandfather's freshman, most of them will hit the ice for the first time at the age of 21, and Oscar Plandowski (a soph eligibility-wise and a flamed out DRW 5th round pick) will be turning 22 in October. The team dynamics this year are going to be challenging, for sure. It doesn't take a psych degree to see how this could easily splinter the locker room into at least two, and potentially a few more factions. And in a rare defense of MS7, those conflicts may be unavoidable, to a degree. There are always going to be internal tensions when figuring out who's going to get to play, where (if?) they'll fit into the lineup, and perceptions that the big guy might be playing favorites. If Coach Souza has made the decision not to determine captains ahead of time, I think that's probably a very defensible, understandable call.Fourteen of the 27 players on the roster are brand new to the University. Of the 13 returners, only nine played more than 25 games last season. I'm not sure its utterly ridiculous that they'd spend some time together before settling on leadership...
Does he (or anyone else) know when the decisions were made and revealed to the team last Fall?My brother reminded me that captains were not revealed until October 11th last season.
Captains announced on September 23rd 2022 but cannot find date for 2023-2024 season. So much for internet AI.Does he (or anyone else) know when the decisions were made and revealed to the team last Fall?
One thing many of us (myself included) thought would be a strength of last year's team was the carryover of most of the '23/'24 roster into the new season, so the late reveal - if it was indeed late to the players, as opposed to the public - was a fairly curious decision, especially when IIRC there were not any big surprises.
But this coming season is very different. Sometimes you gotta be flexible with your approach, different horses for different courses, etc. His job may depend on it.
