Re: Dalyn Wakely, very unlikely to go NCAA imo. He was drafted last summer as a D+2 by Edmonton, so they have his rights longer–unlike a Landon Sim, whose rights (STL 2022) expired and he went to a different rookie camp this past summer. I think the expectation on Wakely is he turns pro. Plenty thought he could spend the season in Bakersfield and/or Fort Wayne out of Oilers training camp before he was sent back to juniors.

From his interviews he likes to mix it up, fights, etc… You can tell he takes pride in being scrappy. Kind of difficult in NCAA to be that type of a player. He mentioned he chose OHL over QMJHL and one factor was no fighting in QMJHL.

Nick Peluso is doing very well in the BCHL semifinals. His team, Brooks Bandits, is up 3 games to 1 game over Penticton. He had 2 goals and 2 assists last game, where he was awarded the 1st star.
