2025 SUNYAC...addition and subtractions and of course Tomfoolery..

Yeah why not? Doubt the team will be too disappointed if two important players turn out not to be leaving

There are many coaches who tell players once they enter the portal, they are done with the team. And will never take them back no matter what.

Having said that, I have no idea which side of the fence Mark Taylor is on that philosophy.
yes its like the stock market, it does not like uncertainty, again would imagine what the coaches policy is will dictate what happens....either way looks like they will be ok as far as bart is concerned

As far as the two Hobart portal entries, it will likely have an impact on the remaining team members as far as their relationship with these guys. Mark Taylor has to do what's best for the team and that means he is already recruiting the best players possible, and not necessarily "replacements". Duclair is unique as an incredibly talented, but undersized , brother of a top NFL professional(Anthony Duclair). He certainly wants to see what his ceiling is, but his size and shot selection/accuracy might be an issue. His speed and endurance are D1. Bauer Morrissey is capable of playing D1 on defense and would be missed, but Taylor has a great system to integrate additions. Last year ,Hobart lost two players to D1 , one was the team Captain who graduated from Hobart and played successfully for Bentley. Although he had a year of eligibility left, no one blamed him for seeking an MBA at Bentley. He came back for the Championship at Utica. We also lost our leading scorer to Brown, but he had a hard time getting significant ice time, we'll see how he does next year. I think Taylor has wished them luck but wouldn't close the door on them coming back but that depends on their stature/chemistry with teammates , not just Taylor.

Incoming freshmen Tommy McDonough D/NH Mountain Kings (NAHL) and Laurent Trepanier F/Maine Nordiques (NAHL) will more than make up for the two portal departures. Both are impact players and will fit in right away.
