With CHL entry and a very active Transfer Portal, it’s harder than ever to predict winners. My prediction is that there could be some big surprises. I’m a Denver fan, season ticket holder. We will be ready to play, no doubt, but I don’t have a strong sense of the NCHC given all the roster changes. I’m not sure I buy the notion that the school that signs the top scorers has a huge advantage. It’s a team sport. Minnesota has perennially recruited noted top talent, and haven’t won the NCAA Div 1 Championship in over twenty years.

I'm curious. Being you're a "GuyFromTRF", wouldn't you be a UND fan, being Ralph was born in TRF. Or more a Gopher fan than Denver?

I grew up being a Sioux fan and a Gopher fan at different stages of life. I lived in Chicago for many years and college hockey access on TV was limited, but could sometimes catch WCHA games. Though not frequently I saw the Sioux play the Gophers at Mariucci, and vice versa at the Ralph. When my wife and I first got our DU season tickets nine years ago, I pulled for UND when they played at Magness, at least for the first year we attended. Denver just won me over. The style of play, the to us more positive and family-friendly atmosphere, DU's exceptional performance on the ice. It's really a great environment, and a great program!! I've never been to an arena with the same fun and positive, sing-and sway fan atmosphere.
