Travel 4: All Around the World Same Song

We stayed at the Zoetry resort 3 years ago. No real complaints, food had good variety (restaurants changed daily and there were 3-4 options a night). A bit sketchy off the resort but everything within the resort was very relaxing. Pricey, but I have a Hyatt CC and used a lot of points. Would...

The Medical Thread: We're experts on everything else; why not?

Daily use will provide more benefit. Generally, zyrtec will have the most anticholinergic side effects (dry mouth, drowsiness, constipation) of the second generations, with Claritin and Allegra having less side effects for most people. I use claritin with decent success.

You can look up what your doctor gets paid by pharmaceutical companies. The number should be close to 0 in my opinion. If you look me up, I think I have under $50 which I think came from a lunch I walked into as a fellow and my name got written down. I delete every email any pharma rep sends...

Yes, required by law federally. Imaging is unfortunately not different, it is released as soon as the radiologist reading it. I have had patients look at pretty severe things on their own, even though I follow up nearly every outpatient result with the patient within 24 hours. We cannot even...

Dump Term 2, 1.01: Sleep Now in the Fire

There is currently a catastrophic reply all email chain paralyzing the VA right now. At first, a bit annoying but actually quite funny over the day. I left after ~4000 emails, I was receiving ~30 a minute. I think that if people just replied it would go to the whole group which was estimated to...

I luckily did not say it far and wide but did say it once to my wife and she has not let me live it down.

Dump Term 2, 1.01: Sleep Now in the Fire

That's a blast from the past. He was equally ignorant about health care related issues. I remember him saying that if you do not get your care at Mayo and see every specialist possible, you just don't care about your health. He was the perfect person for the VIP/executive health plans that had...
