Travel 4: All Around the World Same Song

Oh, FFS Tammy. Why? Why would any politician push this? https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/senate-democrat-demands-tsa-lift-shoes-on-policy-safety-risk/ Literally no where else in the world are people forced to take their shoes off absent special circumstances like steel-toed boots. We're...

Business, Economics, and Taxes 2: That's Why We Fight to Take the Means Back

Got my taxes done today after finally getting my K-1 from my old job. We itemized for the first time in about a half dozen years with the increased allowance for the SALT deduction. So thank you to all the MAGAts out there for lowering these attorneys' tax bill at the expense of your healthcare...

    SCOTUS: sponsored by Harlan Crow

The current EO would be prospective only. But in the unlikely event it's upheld, there would be nothing stopping Trump from then doing a retroactive one. And at that point, we'd have gone full Calvinball anyway, so there would be no point in trying to game that one out.

MLB 2026: The dying of the light

If cricket can do a review to determine if a ball would've hit the wickets after accounting for spin and a bounce off the ground, surely MLB can do a 3d review of a pitch.

    SCOTUS: sponsored by Harlan Crow

The main view is that they aren't automatically citizens under the 14th Amendment if born on tribal land, but there's a statute that does grant them citizenship regardless. And at this point, most parents would be American citizens as well, so even without birthright they'd likely be able to...

    SCOTUS: sponsored by Harlan Crow

Uh, you realize Gorsuch is the most pro- Native American justice pretty much ever, right? He didn't forget, he was making a point.

    SCOTUS: sponsored by Harlan Crow

The birthright citizenship case is currently ongoing. Trump showed up for the first half of the argument, then left when the solicitor general sat down. Early tea leaf reading indicates the government is likely to lose, but it's not going to be the slam dunk it should be. Alito and Thomas are...

    Bitch About the Bracket Here

Most of that is negligible from a technical standpoint. The hardest one is likely hotels, but if you have sufficiently large ones nearby you can get by with 3 as teams can double up if needed provided they're sufficiently separated. There's also a minimum capacity requirement, but again not...

NCAA Hockey 2025- CHA now welcome

A ton of high schools use On Wisconsin. I wouldn't be shocked if it's the most used fight song in the country.

Business, Economics, and Taxes 2: That's Why We Fight to Take the Means Back

I think it's more that it's a casino writ large, and the big investors can both outlast you and pay to cut in line in front of you. Yes there is absolutely some skill/knowledge/etc. involved, but the Vanguards and Chases of the world can afford swings of hundreds of millions of dollars. Most...

Business, Economics, and Taxes 2: That's Why We Fight to Take the Means Back

Just because you're college educated doesn't mean you should be dealing with options, futures, etc. The vast majority will still do better in the long run by having a diversified portfolio of equities and bonds that they contribute to regularly and then just let grow passively.

In fairness, the initial roughing call itself was also bullshit.
