The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
I'm not a great fan of the position of the camera, but I don't think there is room at center ice, except maybe in the score keepers box at ice level, to have one. That said, the camera operator does a reasonably good job tracking the puck while it's in the far end of the ice.
maybe a remote...
Given the amount of advertising and ad trackers on the site "free" is a little generous. But if true that makes it much easier to find the games to watch.
Not a problem, I'm just trying to figure out which one of the 5 games I want to watch, and some are not streaming on easily available services. If Williams is hosting, as is Amherst, both games are on NSN and a coin flip as to which I want to watch more. I'm leaning more toward Mammoths /...
I'm a little confused by this. The NCAA site bracket, and listings of the games, and the selection show have Williams hosting Plattsburgh. Which is a little surprising, but not unexpected as (despite the worse record) Williams is ranked higher than Plattsburgh. I don't envy either of these...
Congratulations to Williams for becoming the NESCAC tournament champion for the first time. Best of luck in the NCAA Tournament.
I would agree that Middlebury needs a little more finishing to win more of these games. They have the capability of doing it, and next year they should be better...
Upset in overtime in the NESCAC. Williams wins their game 5-4 in the overtime. Middlebury wins their game 3-2 in overtime. Tomorrow is the championship between the #4 Panthers and the #7 Ephs. This should an interesting game.
Looking forward to the NESCAC semi- and finals this weekend as well.
Colby is going to be coming out breathing fire. They are well aware their best chance of making the NCAA tournament is to win NESCAC, and let everyone else fight over the at large bids. They have beaten both Middlebury and...
Despite having split their meetings with the Panthers, Bowdoin smells blood. I agree that the PBears are the favorite for the semi-final, but I do think the Panthers will make a game of it.
The other game will also be interesting, Hamilton seems to be running flat right now, when they should...
That was an exciting quarterfinals. The live game I watched was the Middlebury - Wesleyan game. The Cardinals were playing a smart, defensive game, it was paying off for them, and they are up 2-0 with two minutes left in the third. The Panthers, who have been dominating play all game, shots are...
It's been noted that Hamilton's star player Luke Tchor was injured earlier in the season. Does anyone know if he'll be back for any of the NESCAC or NCAA tournament? I'm not sure what happened and haven't seen any updates anywhere.
Well the NESCAC is (almost) set, with one game to play this afternoon. With the overtime win by the Mammoths over the Continentals, it will require at least one point to the Mammoth's squad to hold on to second place. The tight fought 0-0 tie going into overtime was a great game to watch. A...
The fact that Tufts lost to Colby in overtime (giving them only 1 point for the night) keeps Midd in 4th. But Williams beating Hamilton (!!!) and Wesleyan beating Trinity is what's giving Midd their headache.
Right now 3rd to 6th place is separated by 3 points, and 7th to 10th place is...
Into the last weekend of the regular season.
1st place Hamilton and last place Amherst play host to Middlebury and Williams.
Tufts/Conn Coll travel to Bowdoin and Colby. Colby has been in a free-fall lately and I'm sure Conn would love to take 8th place from them for a spot in the NESCAC...
Well that was an interesting weekend in the NESCAC.
Middlebury maintains first place with a win and a goal-tender duel 0-0 tie with Williams. Amherst in their home-and-home against bottom ranked Trinity ends with two 1-1 ties. Colby splits their games with 8th ranked Wesleyan.
For this...
Well, that was a surprisingly interesting weekend for Midd. On the wrong side of a 4-1 score in the middle of the 2nd period against Trinity, they manage to fight back to a 5-5 tie, only to loose the shootout. But still impressive feat of skill and perseverance. And then put up another 5 goals...
