  • The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways. Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar. We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.

  • Here's the deal. When Quinn came to BU, it was his understanding that he would be Parker's 1st choice when Parker decided it was time. Given Parker's history with assistants, Quinn was not inclined to take the job without knowing his future opportunity.

After the 2009 NC, Quinn tried to confirm that "understanding" and Parker hedged saying Quinn was on a short list. Quinn i think (I'm guessing) realized that Parker might have someone else as his #1. Quinn was in big demand after 2009, so he took minor league job.

So Quinn was not forced out, but I think he felt duped and decided it was time to go, that he could not wait around another 4-5 years to see what Parker would do.

There also is a LOT of scuttle-but going around among former BU players who are now assts/scouts. Many of them have lost total respect for Jack based on behavior with assts and performance in big games, especially since early 90's.
I knew this was going down a rathole. I should have said nothing. I have sources on the Quinn issue that I must protect. I've probably said too much already, but will provide what I heard off the thread.
