The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Union up 4-0 unless Brown makes a massive comeback we go to darthmouth……if we pull this game out and get the first playoff win since the championship game
Where in the rule does it say that the defender has to allow the attacking to do anything. The rule says that it is the responsibility of attacking player to avoid contact. The Cornell player skated across the blue paint and contacted the goalie taking him out of the crease. The Cornell...
My goodness where to start: Yes the rule is the definitive answer as it is THE RULE. You assume or your interpretation is that a defending player must, allow the player who voluntarily skated into the crease and put himself in a bad position, stop playing and let him avoid contact. As you...
Red Hockey make it sound like trying to get under the skin of the other team is a bad thing. As long as you do it within the rules, it’s a tactic and your coach needs to be a better teacher on how to control anger. Last time I checked Cornell was the only one to get a major (2 of them this week...
“If it wasn’t for the goalie on your team it would be different. Well last time I checked he is part of the team. If your team didn’t use Cornell’s immaturity wanting to retaliate it would have been different. So basically if your coach could keep your team in line it would have been...
If an attacking player enters the goal crease
and, by his or her actions, impairs the goalkeeper’s ability to defend his or
her goal, and a goal is scored, the goal will be disallowed.
If an attacking player has been pushed, shoved, or fouled by a defending
player and causes contact with the...
HE HAS TO STOP, I understand he didn’t have anywhere to go if he wanted to be in the play but once you enter the blue paint the rule is clear. The offending player has to stop and do anything to not hit the goalie. Period, stop, end of sentence
Know the rules. Your player skated into the blue paint. The defender does not have to allow the player a “pathway out” or anything. So guiding someone in the offensive player has the responsibility not to make contact with the goalie.
Third, if there is any contact with the goalie that...
Iowa, that might have been me chanting about banners and how they make them up (Ivy League doesn’t exist in hockey). I mean we probably would have won every patriot league title until BU entered the league so we could have 91-10 that would be a lot of banners
How is a player who played in the
AHL allowed to play for QU. I understand that the ncaa is allowing the major junior guys to play but the AHL is the pros kind of pathetic that it is allowed
In what world is the smart play to with no stick three on three instead of clearing the zone with a kick moving it back into the zone, I mean? Is that what they are taught
I like the way the team plays and such but really seems like an "inverted" vaughn. Vaughn may not have had the best regular seasons but come playoff time they were a team that NO ONE wanted to face (see the RPI/Union back to back comebacks in 2012*?). Harder will get the bye and home playoff...
