    2026-2027 Schedules

Interesting to see Salve is now hosting an invitational. Not "star studded" by any means with Hiram being the only announced team so far, but a big change of direction after the chaos last season.

UNH Hockey Off Season Thread 2026

Coming back from lurking from D3 world to hear from the fine folks from Durham. I know there's been talk here about UNH/USNH's financial situation over the last few years, especially with state cuts, enrollment drops, and plenty of issues with UNH's admin. Beyond UNH, Plymouth and Keene State...

Castleton Leaving LEC For MASCAC Effective 2027-28 Season

With Anna Maria’s exit, Castleton should have a pretty good shot for the MASCAC barring anything Fitchburg can put up. That and it’ll straighten out alignment for other teams like football. Definitely a gamble on both sides of things tho. Unless they can come in and dominate, they’re not going...

Future D3 (and D2) hockey programs

With the LEC being made up of many former ECAC D3 teams, wonder if the LEC would go the old school route of splitting into two regions. Number of members would have to go up to 12 at least (and 14 probably to build a buffer). Doubt the NCAA would give each region a bid especially if schools try...

    2026-2027 Little East Conference

Not sure about financials nowadays, but they were on the brink 15-20 years ago. They're very dependent on athletics for enrollment and have a notoriously low graduation rate. Decent financial aid but having a 100% acceptance rate (similar to Anna Maria...) isn't helping their reputation...

    2026-2027 Little East Conference

Did a bit of a brain dump with college hockey done for the season and the Bruins getting tossed. Lot of ups and downs so figured I'd do an unsolicited breakdown with my observations of the LEC's teams. Appreciate any thoughts as schedules and rosters start to come out. 1. Norwich - ↑ The Cadets...

Future D3 (and D2) hockey programs

Dean has a few rinks close to campus that would make for a good home. Would give them a better launching point than Anna Maria possibly considering the team and fans wouldn't have to drive 30 minutes away. That and proximity to Boston. Another school I haven't seen mentioned yet is...

Future D3 (and D2) hockey programs

DIIIHN making some cryptic posts about the lack of Anna Maria players in the portal. Almost seems to be hinting at a Northland/Beloit arrangement in the works. Not sure if there’s a another New England school that’s been waiting in the wings or if USJ is stepping in while the program is still...

Future D3 (and D2) hockey programs

What a disappointment for the school. Seemed like the writing was on the wall but things must've been worse behind the scenes. Gives students very little time to transfer so hopefully some area schools will be announcing campaigns in the next few days. Despite the funding challenges and a rink...

Enter the Send Portal - 2026-2027 Transfers

Neumann pick up the first D1 transfer of the offseason. St Cloud goalie James Gray joins for his grad year after playing as third string for the last few years. Posted 2.97 GAA and a .890 SV% across 8 games for the Huskies. Word from the UNH thread is that NH local Ronan Gray is transfering to...

UNH Hockey Off Season Thread 2026

My first couple of years at Plymouth were when Laviolette played. Was a force in front of the net and helped lead the team to relevance as a tournament qualifier for D3. He's still kicking around the ECHL, think he's one of the few Plymouth grads that "went pro." Oh yeah... and his dad taking...

UNH Hockey Off Season Thread 2026

Haven't heard anything yet but if Plymouth recruited him that would be a solid pickup. He'd be the 2nd D1 transfer in program history I believe and would have a immediate impact on the ice. Connection to Proctor as well is a nice plus.

Dartmouth Hockey - Because it deserves it

Huge news. It's still early, but looks like Dartmouth is one of the only teams left that has no transfers out.
