Great call out by Mahoney "Their combined save percentage of .892 was tied for 49th among 63 Division I programs and it was the worst save percentage for a full season since 2010-11, when sophomore Shawn Sirman and freshmen Dan Sullivan and Martin Ouellette posted an .884 save percentage."...

not sure what happened with Coughlin, he never seemed to get a look despite being pretty sound of a skate and playing a much simpler game than Peterson and Usereau at times.

this is pretty in line with the post last week that on an xG basis we'd be at 23+ wins if i remember correctly... agree wholeheartedly

Assuming UVM win sat, UHN split, Colgate + UVM win at home gets us to 9th... d'oh!

In '92-93 we beat Merrimack a combined 25-3. Pretty sure Pat Tardif had 4 goals on the weekend. What a gift it is that we have so much of that year on film.

Jealously from the rest of the team towards 93? He's got a ton of talent but it's going to be VERY tough sledding to cut out a career in the NHL given his size, not even considering how loaded carolina is right now (not even bradly can seem to get time up there despite dominating the AHL ranks)...

this year reminds me a bit of 2011 - really good team on paper that looks fated to win 17-19 games and miss out on NCAAs despite some really good top end talent. Not to excuse the fairly numerous deficiencies both the forwards and D have, but still think if you put a league average or even above...

That's probably true. I would agree on Russell and Freel. I would've just hoped for more consistency from JN - sometimes he's far and away the best player on the ice, yet others he is completely absent and/or the turnovers that have had a knack to kill us this year.

This is something that I find to be more concerning than some of the issues with the WHL players. Think about the returns that see icetime: 4, 11, 12, 14, 15, 20, 26, 29, 30, 38, 44 Of this group, I can only confidently say that 4, 12, 14, 29, 38 are better than last year. The last two are...

Thought that lipinski could've replaced some of that size... but he has really fallen off since about the BC series or so...

and absurd HEA officiating completely sets this stage to blow it wide open... not sure how that's interference on fowler. Doesn't really matter though, we wouldn't win this game with Patrick Roy or February 1980 Jim Craig
