Indeed I suspect the cost of renting arena ice is probably not offset by any revenue NU would generate from remotely hosted home games. It’s almost certainly financially better for them to play on the road assuming it’s a local game (no flight or hotel stay).
My understanding is Warrior is not an option at least for NU Hockey East home games because Hockey East has certain requirements for video replay angles + ability to livestream games on ESPN+ that warrior does not meet. Personally I'd rather see this waived so NU can play some home games closer...
