Unfortunately, the Lindenwood games are midweek, so I won't be there. I'm actually coming next weekend for the Cornell series, and then of course I'll be making the 24 minute drive from my house to Boston College the following week.

Interesting to see which Hilary shows up next weekend.... game 1 against SLU was not impressive....game 2 on the other hand was a much more solid performance. I can't lie, I'm hoping for extremes....if Hil can stand on her head, power to her. If not, then I hope she gives up 7 so Steph can get in.

I'll be dressed in cowboy boots and a cowboy hat Friday night. feel free to come introduce yourself!

I saw your comment about the soft goal. Hell, I'll never be hard on any goalie for an occasional soft goal. I just wish they had someone on the staff with real qualifications to evaluate goalies. There is so much more to the position, to say the least to include mechanics and mental preparation. In that light, did you see enough of Makela in action these past 10 days to speak of her? Be honest...no need to patronize dad here, LOL, did Makela make a good case for being the next in line? Penny for your thoughts... I've given up! I am coming out this weekend with a focus on seeing some old friends and enjoying dinner with my daughter a couple of nights! Priorities, eh?

I wish I could come to the games. Have to take my chances on b2tv - who routinely cancel broadcasts.

Nice romp on Saturday! Next weekend might be a tad lopsided as well. (FYI: Bram Sr. will not be there as she is at HC Senior Camp in Calgary, Alberta until a week Monday.)

If I ever make it to a game live - I'll look for the guy with the camera!

You may already be aware that I'm Steph Ciampa's dad, if not you are now. No offense taken, since your comment about Makela challenging Hilary is certainly appropriate given the playing time allocation from last year. You should know however that Steph's work ethic this summer was down right scary, and that she has shown up for pre-season with the intent of fully challenging both Hil and Makela. I'm her dad and clearly I have a bias....what parent wouldn't....but it seemed to me that there were MANY Hurst fans who were questioning the continued loyalty to Hil during last season. I fully expect to see a change, but I'd like to think my daughter's preparation will make for an equal challenge.

hursty - JD may end up coming but just to study - chance of playing this year though. Likely cause of current delay in announcing 2015 class. Look for Laker sched to be released once BC releases theirs. sd

1. sched I posted in "schedule" thread is pretty well complete except for 4 games with RMU and whatever exhibition game has been lined up for Sept.
2. recruits and background info on beyond the dashers website appears to be more accurate than Hux's stuff on D1 committments thread.
3. unless someone comes up with another name - collins is the only name that is being tossed about right now for AC.
4. some feel that mercyhurst has the best incoming class in all D1. combined with some of the upper class - they have the horses!!!

My daughter tells me Frykas is a good friend of Bram's and she's seriously interested in coming to Hurst.

Meanwhile, I'm hardly ever a Debbie downer, but I'm not too sure of Hurst's chances next year. I just don't think we have the horses. you???
