UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

I think it was first shutout against BC since 2004. The game they referenced was at Maine.

Hopefully he is okay. Looks like he caught a rut in the worst possible spot.

UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

I think a lot of the problems come down to Maine working much harder offensively than defensively. I was very impressed with BC’s effort in their own zone. They blocked a ton of shots and really put themselves about. I was surprised at the start of the game when they showed Boija’s numbers. He...

UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

It drives me nuts when Maine throws the puck at the net and hopes it goes in. Need to move and shoot the puck with a lot more purpose.

Boija bit hard on that shot fake.

Closest comparison is probably Lewiston or Biddeford.

UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

Really disappointed with the lack of fight Maine showed last night. That was a must win game and they didn’t have it in them to get over the line. Full credit to Vermont who Maine could learn a lot from. They have a few very good players but are clearly inferior to Maine talent wise but did what...

EZAC taking Hockey East to the woodshed today. Is the league really that bad?

I thought I read there was going to be a ‘season’ in between.

    World Soccer XXXI: Golden Generation?

Awful move for MLS. The summer is when there is very little competition from other sports and that is what they did away with. Maybe it helps the warmer markets but certainly not in the north.

I’m very excited to read it. He is such a wonderful author.

UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

One thing I find strange is that Maine struggled so much with the EZAC teams and has had their way with hockey east teams. I’m sure some of it is Maine improving but just seems really odd. Maybe the league truly is bad this year.

That was by far Maine’s best period of the year. Hopefully UMass doesn’t wake up.
