    Harvard Hockey 2025-'26: Crimson Ascending

Harvard put forth a valliant effort up in Lynah, but ultimately feel short. And one can only wonder, if that sort of effort was puit forth consistently over the season, Harvard would likely have been a Top 4 team and might be on the NCAA tourbney bubble. Harvard does bring in a very strong...

Not so sure on Donato. Harvard will be better next year. This senior class - especially on defense - has been totally disappointing. The D will be better once Langenbrunner & Healey leave. As sad as that is to say, it is the truth. Harvard has 2 very good defneemen coming in (especially Alex...

    Harvard Hockey 2025-'26: Crimson Ascending

Well, that was what has become a typical Harvard beanopot performance as of late. A defense that was basically nowhere to be found. How about BC's second goal where Morden goes for pokecheck instead of taking body and lets BC walk right in and score. How about St Louis letting Hagens skate...

    Harvard Hockey 2025-'26: Crimson Ascending

Been a tough stretch, but probably a bit of bad luck and regression to the mean.k The Princeton, Dartmuth, and BU games all could have gone either way and earlier in the season, more often than not, Harvard was on the right side of those kind of games. Harvard has some very good players coming...

3 of the four lines seem to be really clicking. Not surewhat to make of the Solovey, Miller, MacDonald line - but with the other 3 playing well, not sure if there is a lot of maneuverability. 7-3-1 at the break. Any Harvard fan would have taken that. Hope the team enjoys the break. Quinny...

Overall, those performances aginst Michigan should give the team a lot of confidence going forward. And so long as they stay on the current trajectory and stay healthy, that should get them a top 4 seed in the ECAC. Dartmouth is very interesting out of the gate, but not sure they have the...

Points in Potsdam are always nice. Let's hope for 2 more in Canton tonight.

Also good to see Severo improve at the dot on Saturday relative to Friday. Harvard still remains quite deficient in this area which contributes to our defensive miscues. Been an issue for 3+ years now.

    Harvard Hockey 2025-'26: Crimson Ascending

Generally going to be a long night when your 1st line center goes 5 for 22 in the dot. Need a different face-off guy if that trend continues. Tough to win games when you don't possess the puck.

Harvard Crimson 2024-2025 - Will our Youth be Served?

Harvard picks up a commitment from Myles Brosnan out of Dexter. Sounds like he will play at Dexter next year, then 1 year in the USHL, then Harvard in the Fall of 2027. https://www.hockeyjournal.com/myles-brosnan-commits-to-harvard-and-other-college-hockey-recruiting-news/

Also Joe Salandra just signed with the Barrie Colts: https://chl.ca/ohl-colts/article/joseph-salandra-commits-to-colts/ Expect more highschoolers to sign with MJ teams (Jacoby Weiner recently signed as well). Be interesting to see how this shakes out for USHL as the premier pipeline to NCAA.

Harvard Crimson 2024-2025 - Will our Youth be Served?

Harvard introduces class of 2029: https://gocrimson.com/news/2025/6/25/mens-ice-hockey-mens-hockey-announces-class-of-2029.aspx Renkowski and Dellasalla pushed out to 2026. Strong class coming in. I imagine some of the frosh (Gallnt, Bracco, Ruohonen, Lane, and Murray) will start out of the...

Harvard Crimson 2024-2025 - Will our Youth be Served?

Harvard just picked up a defenseman (Alex Huang) from the Q so hopefully that answers our question as to Harvard dipping its toes into those waters. Apparently, Alex chose Harvard over Michigan. Be interesting to see how these major junior players view Harvard across the plethora of college...

Harvard Crimson 2024-2025 - Will our Youth be Served?

Cornell just picked up a goalie from the Q. Harvard, Yale, and Dartmouth are the only 3 schools in the ECAC who have yet to obtain a transfer from the portal or an incoming recruit from Major Junior.

Harvard Crimson 2024-2025 - Will our Youth be Served?

Something is going on at Harvard. Harvard has lost 4 recruits now which is unheard of. Xavier V (Harvard to Cornell); Ben Merrill (Harvard to BU); Grant Young (Opened up his recruiting); Evan Jardine (Opened up his recruiting). Is it a lack of NIL $? Is it something else? Just seems very...
