    Lake State Lakers (2025-26)

Ahlrik goes to St Cloud. On the incoming side, Lakers picked up 2 right-handed D -men from the Portal. Matteo Mann from Colorado college, and Joey Potter from Alaska Anchorage.

    Lake State Lakers (2025-26)

Lakers have picked up Charles Savoie from the Portal. Forward from Lindenwood. But they just lost Ahlrik to the Portal. That's a big loss.

Quinnipiac picks up Applebee from the Portal. And BG picked up Bushy.

Bushy is getting his degree this Spring, so he was a given for the Portal if he wanted to play another season of college hockey. We did pick up a forward from the Portal today, Casper Nassen, from Miami U.

It was nice to see the offense clicking this weekend. Yeah it was against NMU, but as much as the offense has struggled this season, it was still good to see.

` I saw that too. A bit of a surprise. Not sure what was behind his decision. Huggins, Blanchett and Ranstrom haven't played much this season, so presumably this should result in at least one of them getting more ice time.

    Lake State Lakers (2025-26)

I got to see the Lakers in person for the first time this season against BG. My expectations aren't real high although it's still early and things could change for the better. They are undersized at forward aside from Connor Milburn. They have several small guys up front that have the skill...

    Lake State Lakers (2025-26)

I think it's a little early to get a decent feel for that. Let's see how they are doing after they've played a few conference games, home and away.

I didn't see either game, but they definitely laid an egg. I don't know whether it was poor defense, poor goal tending, or some of both. They scored 4 goals both games, so offense wasn't the problem.

They scored first in both games and I think that's a huge key to winning on the road.

My first impression is that I'm not crazy about it. I don't care for the look. I'll wait to see what it actually looks like on a player in full uniform, both white and blue jerseys. Not very distinctive compared to the more traditional Laker anchor jerseys.

I don't care for the cream/off-white unis either. Haven't seen the new jerseys yet.

    LSSU Lakers 2024-25

I think Clarkson and St Lawrence is a good nonconference road trip. The visit to Stonehill is no doubt a result of their visit to the Soo last year. Simon Fraser and the USNTDP is an exhibition series; I assume they're playing both of them down in Plymouth. I'm sure the Lakers wanted at...
