UNH- How Far West Do We Go?

Great win. My optimistic side says this is the kind of game that might be in our future. Who says winning has to be pretty? We have seen that FO wins and shots are not the secret. Perhaps it is just grit and of course, scoring goals.

UNH- How Far West Do We Go?

Sorry to say this but last nights game was not a horrific followup to last weekends game at Union. They were clearly not dominated, we’re abLe to get out of their own end and shoot. Unfortunately they still can’t seem to score. Split woahld be nice but they will make adjustments we will not.

UNH- How Far West Do We Go?

Dan, thanks for your earlier comments on former players. Chauvette has indeed been very solid in his 2/3 starts. Looking at the schedule going forward, I would have to think he starts against Merrimack and then we see Whale against LIU with Chauvette returning against the Q. And speaking of...

UNH- How Far West Do We Go?

I was able to listen to the game off of the Maine site. Under the schedule and last nights game you could hit listen. Obviously a Maine crew working the game, they rarely mentioned the UNH players as they were so new to them. Heard Fitzgerald and Cronin the most and by the third they mention...

It’s feeling like NCSU will take the number one spot in the next NCAA college soccer poll.

UNH 2025 Offseason: Where in the World is MS7?

Feels like it is time for me to put my 2 cents worth in on scheduling an exhibition game. Not a favorite of many of you but I see it as critical for this team. So much new blood that will be expected to play big roles this season. As important (pairwise ranking) the first 2 games will be, it...

UNH 2025 Offseason: Where in the World is MS7?

Yes Busch was certainly fun to watch and in many ways imbodies the true spirit of the student athletes. His career had a few side steps. Can’t remember which year, perhaps, freshmen, he slammed into boards and messed up his leg and missed a few games. Then down at PC he was hit in the wrist by...

UNH 2025 Offseason: Where in the World is MS7?

I thought that part of the opting in was an increase in the number of allowable scholarships. In the hockey world that would be going from 18 up to 26. What is unclear is do you have to increase your scholarship offering? The increase in scholarships is across all sports which would be...

Age Snives! I don’t believe that anyone of this large class qualified as all are 21+. A couple of them will come in as having been drafted in past years.

UNH 2025 Offseason: Where in the World is MS7?

Thanks for providing links and other info on the What and When but I was noting that there was no discussion on what folks think would be best for UNH and hockey in particular. So do we think moving up to 26 players and scholarships would be good or do we want to remain at 18? Can we remain...

UNH 2025 Offseason: Where in the World is MS7?

Can’t believe there is no chatter on this! What is UNH going to do about the recent court ruling on DI roster size, scholarship, NIL etc. My understanding is they need to declare fairly soon. This appears to have a hugh potential impact on the future of all UNH sports. What’s the feeling here...

UNH 2025 Offseason: Where in the World is MS7?

Agree with your take on being out front on the early CHLers. Not sure how or why but it certainly appears to be a great job. Time will tell but I would imagine it could take awhile for the new guys to get their footing. The third period let down it very obvious. I can really see it on the faces...

UNH 2025 Offseason: Where in the World is MS7?

Dan I appreciate your attemp to pivot the conversation back to the team. I also do this exercise several times between seasons. I am taking a different approach and only using the known players, not that a first and second liner from the portal wouldn’t be nice. So…… I am pulling Mr Turner from...
