Hey, just wanted to let you know I thought of you today as I am staying with my cousin north of Denver since our climb up Pikes Peak had to be aborted due to the fire. (We got about a third of the way through our climb when they started evacuating the mountain and Manitou Springs). Anyway, she and her husband are Colorado Eagles fans and have met Ralph Backstrom many times. Thought the name was vaguely familiar and she mentioned she thought he was a coach at DU a while back. Didn't he win a Spencer Penrose? That led me to the thought, "Hey, I should tell A Shot..." Have a happy summer.

Thanks for the Opening Day rep and well wishes for ND. Hopefully your Rockies are faring better than my Cubbies. At the moment I'm watching Soriano, the highest paid Cub, batting 7th...SEVENTH...and striking out after going up on the pitcher 2-0. Notre Dame better win next weekend to soften the likely rot that will be the Cubs again... And no Ron Santo. :-(

Just back from Aruba - I hit an incentive last fall. Waited until our Valentine's dinner to tell my sweetie that we were leaving for the Caribbean in 6 days! Life is good. -Unc
