I will offer that the support staff was instrumental in making the Gophers the force they were back in the 20teens. Nadine Muzerall and Joel Johnson were big factors on the bench for Minnesota. The St. Thomas arena in Mendota Heights is no colder than any other metro arena with a sheet of ice. There are nicer arenas that various high schools play in, for instance Braemar where Edina plays, the arena in Maple Grove, and many other arenas in Minnesota would rank above the current St. Thomas...Leave a comment:

The first period I sat behind some Bemidji parents. With a goalie giveaway just over a minute in, they were ecstatic. I saw them texting about hoping for a miracle, which, sad for them, did not happen. The Hockey Hall of Fame game will be held on New Years Day in Lakeville, MN. (Lakeville Hasse Arena). It starts at 5:00 and will feature the Bemidji Beavers vs the Golden Gophers.
