The fans turning out is so great! Normally you don't have crowds like this at this time of the year. I read on the Colgate forum, the pep band was there. PSU needs to do better than one time a year. I like to see he changed up the lines....

That's an oomph for a tie with that shot total, but that could have been an L.

That's great hearing the pep band was there and fantastic that the men's team turned out to see the women play....

UConn plays the way PSU used to play, they put you in the grinder. On to tomorrow! PSU is going to have work extra hard tomorrow to right things. And a little puck luck would be nice too.

Chris Mackenzie will have UConn ready in what should be another entertaining weekend. I'm certain he is studying the tape from this past Northeastern weekend.

I had a chance to watch the goals on Twitter and Stecker has made the sophomore jump, that was a strong stick goal. The second goal was textbook, Vaslet went wide, Bedier drove the net and Machado streamed towards the weak side post. I noticed Lobdell had four blocks.
Penn State continues...

Great win! The link to the lineups is not working, was it the same?...

Bartowski - you predicted Stecker on the Janecke Gough line and you are Nostradamus. 5 d is also a bit of a surprise, but not unprecedented.

The program is past moral victories, but heading on the road to Northeastern and losing 1-0 in the first game without what looks like having played in a scrimmage is a positive as long as the team bounces back tomorrow....

It's always fun to see the lines at the beginning of the year. There are some surprises.

You just never know plus you now have a paid goalie coach. I am sure that coach will be giving feedback....

Lots of losses on defense and offense will allow others to have the chance to step up. Bothun returns which is a big plus. Northeastern will be a nice barometer. They lost the two Europeans, the Vermont transfer and the Providence transfer to graduation also.

The barometer for the season will be BU vs BC. The change in coaching for Syracuse was worse for Syracuse then before at least short term. Will the change in coaching for BU have a positive net effect? There aren't many turnarounds like the coach for Yale and Davis for RIT have had on a team's fortune....

Looks like Neitzke stayed at Lindenwood. Penn State and Mercyhurst missed out on a good one.

I am counting 18 skaters and 3 goalies. This is PSU''s smallest roster in awhile. Lots of playing time for the girls usually means happy girls. I'm interested to see if happy girls translate into wins. Bartowski had some good analysis. Stecker last year looked like she possibly could take a leap...

Hopefully, the team will be able to find three lines that work like last year. It's nice to see all three goalies back. 7 d is going to be a challenge for the coaching staff.

Any eyes in the sky on the transfers and or new players? Mercyhurst already played games in Sweden this summer and Robert Morris is back. It should be a nail biting type of year. Is the Swede playing offense or defense based on Kampersal's comment that she can play both? Janecke looks ready to take...
