To win in the WCHA the same rule applies, first to three usually wins. Unless our goalies stand on their head every night, we aren't winning with one goal.
The lack of goal production has been a problem for Tech for a while. It isn't fair to pin so much pressure on our D/goalie to have...

I don't think our D is the problem. We only gave up 2 goals on 20 shots. One of those goals was a bad bounce. How many times have we said in the WCHA the first to three usually wins?
I would argue our problem is we can't consistently score. You're not going to win many hockey games...

I agree. Ferris will be good in a few years when their Blue Line matures. Our league has gotten a lot better and we need to always play our best game in and game out. We really need this game against LSSU tomorrow....

I had to shake my head when the consultant specifically listed all the neighboring states that don't have D1 hockey teams. Highlight they are in the St Louis Metro area, easy travel by land or air, and a huge for college hockey untapped media market. They could have highlighted the other D1 programs...Last edited by Lost_Husky; 02-12-2021, 01:33 PM.

There are dreams and reality. Our team was a mess a few seasons ago and we had to rebuild. I feel Joe and staff are very well on their way to doing that. Each recruiting class gets better and better. We keep adding key contributing pieces via-transfer. We aren't there this year, but we appear to...

What you are saying is correct. Tech is not playing well against the top teams in the league.
I am discounting where we are right now, (being around the 3-5th best team in the WCHA) with where we were 3 years ago, a team without cohesion. We still have a young on ice team. We are relying...

Why do you say that? Last weekend we had contributions up and down the score sheet. Joe made a comment about Ashbrook being a scorer and 'imagine if we had 6 of them.' If anything the following can be said:- Tech isn't an easy place to recruit to and more than likely will never to be able to recruit

I'm not 100% down on the team. They didn't have a week to recover after a very physical BG series, we were playing with 5 D for most of the game, and we still don't have our full roster back. Ashbrook has been a great addition and many guys are stepping up their play. Personal opinion, we shouldn't...

I agree. We played physical at the start, but let FSU get back/stay in the game.
Hope the boys can get some rest before the UAH series....

Rivalries don't need to be geographic to be good. The Tech NMU is one that is easy to get excited about. With BG, it is more competition. There have been some classic games between Tech and BG in the nWCHA. Each game means something, both teams play hard, and you're never sure what is going to ...
