Came here to report this in case nobody had, happy to see Sparkee ready with the analysis and NZ info. 4.0 seems like a nice pickup. And an '04 birth year, does that mean he's showing up next season? Not completely familiar with how age-out rules work in major junior.... -
You're probably right about Johnson. I just bumped him up since Maine is set to lose a minimum of five forwards this offseason (Makar, Mitton, Scott, Breen, and Renwick), with the latter three all being centers. Though it was technically another last minute goal against, I don't think that quite falls into the same category as the BU, BC, and DU losses since it was on the PP, and not only that but a major after a terrible hit.

I watched last night's game, in my opinion Maine didn't play "poorly", per se, but they certainly didn't play well either. It had kind of a weird vibe to the game from the start, and like I posted yesterday this was certainly not a weekend where they could just cruise to points, even at home....Leave a comment:

They better be ready to play this weekend. Connecticut is playing more like how I thought they were going to play off the heels of their 2022 run to the Garden, they are a very solid team and are At-Large caliber at this time. I think part of it is just that Maine will eventually experience some positive regression to the mean in terms of shooting percentage; as demonstrated previously in this thread, a lot of Maine's skaters have some pretty low S%, and eventually those will go in a little more often.
