How do you hold with only your stick hand while holding your stick?...

They only have ten forwards on their roster; I think St Martin missed some time with an injury, but I saw her on the ice last night. So, yeah, only three forward lines is what they have.

That's not completely accurate. Yes, in international play the limit is six subs. But middle blockers can be and almost always are subbed out by the libero, and subs involving the libero don't count against the sub count limit. Standard substitution rules. She plays middle blocker. To play more, she would have to play a different position, AND then play across the back row, diving for balls and handling serve-receive, the way Franklin and Orzol do (did). When they beat the Badgers in Madison the 1st of November, it was primarily on really strong serving; low, flat, lots of 'pace' with no spin, so the ball was moving like a knuckleball.
