Many thanks for posting, watcher, as I was “out West” during the late 1970s and only vaguely remember hearing about the ECAC face mask /cage introduction from friends back here. Ditto for the murder trial, which led to a conviction with the defendant dying during SCUBA-diving on the NH coast...

Perhaps of interest to non-STH and road warrior fans, will HEA headquarters in Amesbury, Mass., announce the upcoming season’s HEA games on NESN this coming week? Announcement was made on October 4th before last season, in which UNH made it into seven NESN games. Wondering if the NESN TV truck...

Not sure about the CHDA (?) or face mask issues, but Dan got one when “we smoked them” (his words) 5-1 at the Whitt on 9 October 2004 (Ice Breaker?). Brett Hemingway got two goals and Sean Collins, Justin Aiken, and Brian Yandle each got two assists in that game.
The only other...Last edited by Snively65; 09-29-2023, 08:31 PM.

Thinking more about the Herrion and Souza comparison, Herrion was HC at UNH for 18 years and 65 years old when his contract was not renewed last March, despite some recent moderate success with his teams. Souza on the other hand will be completing only his sixth season as HC and will be only 46 years...

However, I am also thinking that maybe wins against Dartmouth, RPI, and a split with Princeton at the Whitt, along with wins at Army and Sacred Heart, might...

Agreed, there is strong likelihood that this season is not “the final countdown,” no matter their won-loss record, as the AD needs to give MS7 more time to recruit blue chippahs with the fancy new training facilities, which I agree is bs. But, unless our Sabertooth Cats fail to win 5 games...

Com’on, let’s get with it. Our incoming transfer goalie from Ljusdal, Sweden, via Nodak, is Jakob Hellsten. He is one of two incoming players that MS7 scored in the portal, the other being D-man Luis Lindner from Spittal der Drau, Austria, via AIC. All just rolls off the tongue as we become...

For me, the Dave Forbes - Henry Boucha (R.I.P.) incident was my biggest test as a lifelong Bruins fan. I stopped following the Bruins that season because of Forbes. Of course, several Bruins players (ex., Teddy Green, Marc Savard) also have been on the receiving end of essentially career-ending, goon-inflicted...

Love the banner! Nice work, tyler.
Maybe Larry Mayer could be our next men’s ice hockey coach?...Last edited by Snively65; 09-20-2023, 08:20 PM.

Looks like James Richmond was not Captain his sophomore season, but was a Co-Captain with Peter Herms his junior season (the "All Is Lost" season, starring Robert Redford), and a solo Captain his senior season. Here is a link, in the FIIW Department: https://unhwildcats.com/sports/2015/.....Last edited by Snively65; 09-18-2023, 08:21 PM.
