Interesting weekend results. A tough one for the SEC, good ones for the PAC12 (potentially great if UW wins; maybe already great??), ACC and BIG12...

Miami had beaten Kentucky earlier this season 7-5, but today was an ugly result. No free lunch tomorrow against a pretty good Saint Francis team...
Seems like OU has to be slightly (or not so slightly) favored over the field this year - with FSU and ARK the most likely to unseat the S...

I compared Michigan State's hiring of Adam Nightengale to Mike Souza's hire at UNH. Well, here is one stark difference. Mike McMahon reported that MSU had extensive conversations about hiring Albie O'Connell as an assistant coach - a PROVEN elite recruiter with head coaching experience. David Carle,...

DeSmith had a real opportunity in front of him heading into the players as a starter, but despite a great performance in game one that's now out the window as his season ended with surgery on a muscle in his core. Really unfortunate...

One or two of these hires will work, others wont, but they are all pretty uninspired and share a tree with the Souza hire. Lots of likeable guys with obvious ties to their programs, fans on hiring/advising committees and limited proven experience. Hires that generate hope more than optimism. We've seen...

Nightingale coached the U18s - who are all committed with the exception of Spicer - and even if his relationship extended to the U17s all but three of those players are already committed. Hiring a USNTDP coach due to his relationships with USNTDP players if a fools errand when 99% of the players are...Last edited by Dan; 05-03-2022, 11:31 AM.

We could just vote here - a board meeting or the like...

There are some big name schools who would be foolish not to kick the tires aggressively on Blashill this season, but let’s hope he wants a season off to re-evaluate his future...

If the current regime wanted to win over the disenchanted - adding Eiserman and Sadowski would be a great place start. But I’d put those chances low for reasons I won’t even get into, but relate just as much internally strategies as any external factors...
TM is a good goalie,...

All 60-some sophomore classes in the country will say they're going to be competitive for a conference championship and an NCAA berth; Only six will be right about a championship and just 16 about making the tournament. But sure, you never know......

To interpret Watcher’s line suggestions in terms of combined DI collegiate points...

Thats 54 TOTAL returning points for UNH forwards - and it’s not unreasonable...Last edited by Dan; 04-24-2022, 10:29 AM.

Oh, of course it will - one way or another. Most certainly to some degree financially, even if the deal was reworked not to be prohibitive.
That said, you're smart enough to know my post was a general response to your assertion that coaches needed, and schools must offer, an extra year...

But those are to low cost hires with limited (Cole) to no (Anastos) experience. Hastings would be a complete strategic 180, while Nightengale would be more of the same...
Turning over coaches won’t get you very far when you make uninspired, low investment hires....

This is the biggest scam coaches and agents ever perpetrated - these phony one year extensions do nothing for recruiting and everything for the coaches' pocket books...
UW obviously bought into this myth and theyre keeping up 'appearances', but if they want to fire him next year they will...
