Even though we were outplayed this weekend, we came away with a split which on this trip is fine by me. We're in 7th place in the ECAC. The two losses to Cornell hurt us in the standings as does the fact that they have two games in hand on us. So I'm thinking this may be the best we finish barring some...

I'm wondering about the effect of the Major Juniors and the decision to allow them to play college hockey. Does this help or hurt Harvard? I have to believe the number of Harvard players in the NHL will have some potential recruits thinking about Cambridge as a destination for at least two years. Unless...

The Harvard box score had it the other way around. No matter. I get your point. I've always felt playing up in Troy was a challenge no matter what type of season RPI was having. Guess there is more going on than meets the eye?...

Good win last night in Troy especially considering we were shorthanded missing Alex Gaffney, Ryan Fine, and Ben McDonald. Gaffney in particular has been MIA this season which is too bad. We hit the trifecta with a shortie, a power play, and an even strength goal. Two of the goals came at the end of...

Let's see, we got the triple crown of goals (PP, SH, and even strength) we won more faceoffs, outshot you guys for two periods and you had more penalty minutes. Not sure what game you were watching but you guys had multiple breakdowns that led to clear chances on your goalie. Yes, Koskenuevo played...

I was wondering the same thing. Gaffney it seems has been out all season. Not sure what's going on there. Tough weekend on the road at RPI and Union even at full strength. Hoping for the best....

A nice weekend sweep of Brown and Yale at Bright this weekend. Doubly sweet tonight with Coach Cleary's 90th birthday celebration. It would have been a major downer to lose to the Eli. We outplayed the Eli for the first two periods until they scored on the power play. Philip Tresca's goal provided the...

I was just thinking the other day about the very point you are making regarding players regressing under Teddy. The player I was thinking of was Ian Moore. You can add Zach Karpa to that list as well. Both players have gone downhill instead of raising their games. I don't attribute it to academics....

The nosedive has come and gone. When you lose twice (shootout and OT) to the worst team in the conference, that makes you the worst team. I realize they are missing their leading scorer. As a famous coach once said, you are what your record says you are. And right now, Harvard is a mess. I want to look...

Well, it's official. We are the worst team in D-1 college hockey. At this point, I doubt we could compete in D-II. Losing twice to Dartmouth which was heretofore the worst team pretty much puts the nail in the coffin. I hope the Athletic Department is happy with what has transpired in the past few seasons....

Losing out on commits means that the coaching staff will have to work harder to make up for those losses. I hope they have other players they are tracking or can poach from someone else's recruiting list. I'm getting tired of continually seeing players de-committing and going elsewhere....

Well for 10 minutes at least in the first period, things were looking oh-so good. The Crimson were skating like I haven't seen them in a couple of years and the D kept their structure and the UConn forwards away from Ben Charrette. Michael Callow and Ben McDonald scored two beautiful top-shelf goals....
